Large printer, claimed to be fast (klipper, linear rails,...)
relativly cheap option, quite easy to setup and operate
Hardware changed in details:
+ gantry mount easier, still very stable (with additional Z Rods)
Filament Spoolholder changed
+ linear rails on X and Y, Z like on the old one
+ printhead heatsink bigger, nozzle silicone better fit
* bigger, better Nozzle: cuts.top/DFTa (also find the 0.8mm there)
+ Bed heats fast now! 3-4 mins from 23C to 60C
+ FULL USB A port + USB c port! no more reset button
+ external Wifi antenna with SMA Plug!
- tray grip still miserable (but small detail)
- printbed doesnt snap in place as easy as on the old one (tip washers!)
- Software - takes longer now to boot up (klipper on mkspi instead of marlin)
+ Fluidd webgui - fully functional, no restrictions
- setup steps seem easy, onscreen instructions a bit confusing
- Zoffset first then manual levelling, then 11x11 auto bedmesh
+ SSH: user: mks pwd: makerbase 💡
- Logitech USB Cam: couldnt get it running in their linux...
+ but my Yi Home camera IP Cam works cuts.top/DFSO
Hardware seems to be good, but klipper config is sub optimal...
Auroratech: lower the stepperZ homing speed for better accuracy

@RCSchim mine came with the POM wheels on the Z axis so tight that it was causing the next layer to dig into the bottom layer. Took me 2 weeks to figure it out. Like the X axis didnt travel up enough after layer change.

Thank yoy for a honest review. I am disappointed with how this expensive machine turned out, 8 was so hoping of having it sit eside my old x1. I have ordered the Solvol sv08 on ordered since last week but there seems to be a delay with the upgrade enclosure, maybe I will get the printer first as others have said with the inclosed to follow. Kindest regards. Mike

The MKS PI in it has a webcam service installed on it, it's just not enabled. I had a webcam plugged into the usb n ssh in to it n ran "systemctl start webcamd" and the camera immediately started working

I like it but I feel like the price is kinda high for a bed slinger like that when you can get a large corexy for around that price.

coincidently I'm right now editing my K1max review ;) I wanted it, because it's large and known good, fast and now cheap coreXY (665€ on geekbuying - check the link and us my code if you wanna test it: www.geekbuying.com/go/8dQQaUoK with code NNNDEK1M it's 100€ cheaper than on crealitys own page ;) also it would be nice to know, if this code still works for others (it does for me here in EU)

I bought the X4 Pro.. similar results as your Plus. Bad layer shifting which I think was fixed when I upped the X and Y current to 1.1 but it seems to have extrusion issues. Do you have suggestions for changes to printer.cfg? I tried a hardened steel 0.6 nozzle but I had problems meshing the bed.

Honestly didn't increase the current yet (or test the effect of doing that). On steel nozzle read that you need to increase temp by 10degreeC but you may have heard that already ;)

I will sell my X4 an use the k1max instead (it can be had for under 700$ at geekbuying with the correct code (let me know if you need this ;)

Buenos dias , compre una impresora artillery x4 plus hace veinte dias al segundo dia de uso el interruptor de encendido no funciona, el motor del extrusor deja de funcionar, la pantalla de la impresora se queda conjelada y la maquina deja de funcionar por completo al cabo de 9 dias. pongo dos tikets a soporte y llevo 12 dias sin respuesta. Tengo dos artillery sidewinder x2 mas y no he tenido problemas con ellas pero la artillery x4 que he comprado esta totalmente defectuosa y el servicio de atencion al cliente no me da ninguna solucion. Por mi experiencia y por lo que he leido en plataformas se trata de una impresora pesima no la compren si estan a tiempo.

Sorry to hear that! I also heard that they struggle with service quality. I think it's a sign of them going out of business.... And if many angry customers speak up, this will speed this up! Capitalism: survival of the fittest ;) Thanks for sharing your experience!

€350 isn't cheap for a bedslinger. Remam I checked on the site in Germany TOMS SOMETHING and the price cor the unit with 5 rolls of their cheapest filement is€427?. Remember this unit has lact genn betleveling and dummed down software 😢

I agree, now I would probbably take a look at the Creality V3 plus (their newest bedslinger in 30x30 size) - or as I did - go for the K1 max. It's the allrounder I was looking for (decent buildvolume and OK quality, plenty of options since it's encased...)
