The Ascensore Castello d'Albertis Montegalletto in Genoa, Italy is a curiosity that combines narrow-gauge railway and elevator.
The run starts in horizontal way like a (small) train. At half of the way the cabin changes position and starts the vertical run.

Work on the ten-year general overhaul of the Montegalletto lift begins on Monday 1st July. As required by law, 10 years after the last general overhaul which took place in 2014, the system must be subjected to a series of wide-ranging interventions and checks on moving parts and ground components. The complex overhaul work involves the closure of the plant from Monday 1 July until Wednesday 7 August.

Waouh quelle drôle de petit véhicule trains sur 235 mètre et ascenseur sur 70 mètre c'est marrant depuis le temps que je vois sa photo je me suis toujours demandé se que c'était belle vidéo merci de nous avoir fait découvrir l'ascenseur-train. 👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍 Cette petite cabine n'a rien du funiculaire c'est vraiment spécial je ne savais même pas qu'un tel moyen de transport pouvait exister

hello have you also visited the GENOA PIAZZA PRINCIPE train station and the PRINCIPE - GRANAROLO rack?

Certainly (trolleybus 20 etc. etc.) as well as by train, as the valley station is a few steps from the Genova Piazza (del) Principe (Andrea Doria) railway station.
