Lost Stars was crazy but I couldn’t get enough of it. I read it in a couple of hours. This is a really interesting theory and one I would love to see play out. Perhaps, in the end, Ashfur will finally be sent to the Dark Forest, where he should have gone in the first place imo. Sol could still fit in. He has a sort of connection to Shadowclan and, if we’re going with this theory, perhaps he would be the cat that takes over Tigerstar’s body instead of Darktail. This is presuming that Sol is dead he is pretty old. Sol’s arc ended so abruptly and felt so unfinished that I feel we need some sort of closure.

What if rootpaw's visions is a sign that one of the mountain's is in fact a volcano amd it's going to blow up and erupt ash into the sky? The unsettling mountains.. Or something blocking connections to the spirits of both the Clancats- who's ancestors originated from the Tribes who's ancestors are also blocked? And either darkforest, Sol /Sleekwhisker have more reach to the still living cats? Just a theory?

I think this theory makes a lot of sense, having read the book, we can see that connections with Starclan are completely lost, and Shadowpaw didn't get a single message after Bramblestar died. Bristlefrost even hears two senior warriors talking about what would happen if Bramblestar were to lose a life, coming to the conclusion that he would die forever. Reincarnation has happened in the series before with Cinderpelt, except in her case Starclan allowed her to go back. Starclan had no reason to send Ashfur back to life, but he could have very well found a way around it. Besides, the fandom hates Ashfur and thinks he shouldn't be in Starclan. Shaping him into a villain would not be difficult, and would win the approval of the fans. But the real answers lay in the next book Squirrelflight's hope.

This makes me think of a rumour that I read years ago, back when Oots was still being released. Someone asked Vicky ( I think ) why Scourge wasn't seen in the dark forest and she replied saying that "they were hoping to reincarnate him at some point the writing team didn't want him in the battle". Maybe this is what was she was speaking about but its been changed to possession instead of reincarnation. Perhaps he is going to possess one of the other leaders?

This whole theory is AWESOME! You gave Ashfur a lot more development then in the past. Plus the concept of a soul controlling an different body returning and using for a lot of evil cats is really cool :)

Yeah, about that. The mystery ghost cat Shadowpaw talks to has been keeping tabs on everyone alive(i.e. including Lionblaze and Jeyfeather who broke the warrior code by leaving camp to hunt down a fox as kits). He's got an extreme case of Hollyleaf Syndrome and might be molding Shadowpaw into something similar to himself(an evil protagonist who's also a medicine cat would be great). He also asks him if he's a strong cat and is able to carry out his instructions as if testing his worth. He also appears to be pretty sarcastic/mocking, something I can't see Ashfur doing. This spirit isn't a Starclan cat because A) a Starclan cat couldn't cut off Starclan's connection because said cat wouldn't be able to reach the living world and B) in Chapter 15, Shadowpaw notes that his codebreaker vision DIDN'T come with a seizure. His seizures usually come with Starclan visions so that little bit of info is extremely important. Bramblestar's possessor might be the same cat but that'd have to mean he's much more powerful than Starclan and the Dark Forest combined. It was mentioned in one of the previous books that there were different "skies" for non-clan cats to go to when they died. He might come from one of said skies but that's a wee bit of a stretch since we haven't seen any other evil dead cats besides those from the Dark Forest. However, in my honest opinion, it seems like the new villain isn't entirely evil seeing how he ditches his mocking attitude for a more assuring tone when Shadowpaw fearfully asks if there was any way they could help Bramblestar's illness and so far only wants all the clans to uphold the warrior code, albeit strictly. For now, I'm labelling him as "Morally Grey" and somewhat affably evil towards Shadowpaw. His interest in the latter really caught my attention since Shadowpaw's the only cat who's had seizures with visions since he was kit. I'm hoping Mystery Cat takes him under his wing and influences him to be a strict code keeper like himself. That'd be cool.

I agree with this alot :^ Including, in the newest book, The Silent Thaw, " Bramblestar" is totally obsessed with Squirrelflight being by his side every minute of the day, he even makes Bristlefrost sort the patrols to keep Squirrelflight near him, hes basically making Bristlefrost bear the weight of his job and manipulating her to point out the codebreakers, this also leads to cats getting angry at Bristle frost which I don't think is ok >:V

This is going to be an interesting squirrel flight and Ash fur dynamic.

Eeeeeeee. This sounds like suuuch a good theory!!!!! I can’t wait to see what happens. Lock the doors and close the blinds, we’re going for a ride, fandom! However, I’m not sure Mapleshade will be one of the cats on Ashfur’s team cuz her spirit was killed by Spottedleaf’s Spirit. Also, I was thinking that maybe Sol would be the one to try and take over Tigerstar’s body (if he died before The Broken Code), and it would make sense that he would fail taking over Tigerstar’s body because Tigerstar was around when Sol tried to manipulate Blackstar, so he would somehow have some resistance to any of Sol’s plans (and Sol would also have the motivation to do it, since he so badly wanted to mess up the Clans and StarClan).

I would totally agree 100% with Ashfur. He still appears angry as in sign of the moon (I think) and clearly I guess had madder thoughts than he had when he was alive. Maybe it took him time to get his thoughts together before he possibly possessed Bramblestar. It could also be why Hollyleaf might have to do with the Broken code. If it is really him, Bramblestar must have that blonde hair, Im surprised nobody noticed yet.

Hear me out. Ashfur got killed by Hollyleaf, a cat that is the product of a half-clan relationship, which is against the warrior code. His mother got killed by a cat that goes against the code too. He even called Bramblestar out about the subject during his deputy ceremony. Yeah, he did break the code with Hawkfrost to try and kill Firestar as well as the Three on a separate occasion, but his intentions were blinded by getting revenge on Squirrelflight, not to mention Firestar used to be a kittypet, which by the code is ridiculed. For me, this clarifies the abolish codebreakers behavior, if this cat does happen to be Ashfur. It's a far stretch tho

Instead of Darktail, Thistleclaw would make more sense since he didn't get to become leader because of Bluestar who had forbidden romance, kits, and wanted to be deputy anyways.

At the beginning, when you pointed out the part on the prologue. I saw a deeper meaning to that quote. 'Long as the Clans survive'. I think that is a little suspicious. Considering the two visions Shadow'paw had, it sounds..odd. Also! I have a theory on why whoever the ghost cat is choose Shadow'paw. It hinted to knowing some of the cats, yes? If he told the other medicine cats, they would surely recognize them. Just a few lil theories.
