For over 20 years, Central Asian Plov Center has been satisfying taste buds, serving 2,000 people on a daily basis. They’re known for their giant Khazan, where one batch of plov contains 65kg of meat, 100kg of rice and about 30kg of carrots.
🍚PLOV: Beef and lamb, onion, sunflower oil, yellow carrots, chickpeas, black pepper and other spices, lamb fat, raisins, garlic and chili (optional).
💸PRICE RANGE: 1.50 - 1.81 USD/13,000 - 15,000 UZS | TOPPINGS: quail egg, chicken egg, horse meat .30 USD/2,500 UZS
----
2. UZBEKISTAN ASSOCIATION OF CHEFS: Grilled Catfish in Clay + Blooming Fried Carp
ADDRESS: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
The majority of chefs in hotels and restaurants in Tashkent graduated from Uzbekistan Association of Chefs. 20-year-old Ahmadjon Hamdamov is one of Uzbekistan’s top chefs. At the age of 14 he took home his first medal as the champion of the Global Cooking Contest in Greece.
😺🐟GRILLED CATFISH IN CLAY: First the chef marinates the catfish with black pepper, white pepper, salt, chicken egg yolk, mixture of salt and egg white. Then he mixes the clay (from the Uzbek mountains) with water, coating the fish in a thick layer of the mixture before wrapping it with aluminum foil and letting it cook for 35 minutes.
----
3. QANOTCHI: Beef Ribs
ADDRESS: Kushbegi St. | intersection with Mukimi St., 1 dead end, Tashkent 100100, Uzbekistan
OPEN: 12PM - 11PM
🍖Abdurahman Foziljouov opened Qanotchi in 2017 and quickly became famous for his ability to combine cooking and entertainment. Known as the Uzbek “Salt Bae,” he has garnered national attention and even received a visit from the original Salt Bae.

🥒ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. People either enjoyed my undeniable charm or enjoyed watching me eat things like coconut worms, and thus Best Ever Food Review Show came to be.
I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer. If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.
Don’t forget to subscribe to Best Ever Food Review Show, so we can connect through food and travel and become Bestys!

@ems7623
@ems7623 3 жыл бұрын
You think there's too much focus on Asian culture in the mass media? I presume you mean East Asian ... You might be in a different country than me, but I think you would be right to say that East Asia gets more attention in Western media than other parts of Asia. And, certainly, the whole world seems to forget that Central Asia even exists from time to time. But, at least where I live, I find that the media is still incredibly focused on the West. Even East Asia gets minimal attention.

@@ems7623 Your answer it's just proving my point. Open google and type "Central Asia", no, not just Asia, "Central Asia". Otherwise, where do you live? I'm interested to know where media covers all 5 countries more than the rest of Asia.

I was born and raised in Uzbekistan (I'm Korean though). In the beginning of the video, you can see a Catholic monastery and Russian Orthodox church. Uzbek people are very peaceful, tolerant, hospitable, and friendly. Even though I live in the U.S. now, I long to visit this beautiful country again. I encourage everyone to visit Uzbekistan and try its cuisine. You will be treated nicely wherever you go in there
