I was in college when both Eminem and Kid Rock came onto the scene. I instantly fell in love withe them. If you haven’t heard it, check out Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock, the song. It’s pretty wild, too.

Remember buying this CD back in 1999. The shock value of Eminem being white was what made headlines, but no one was spitting and saying the things he said. His style was so unique. It was a perfect storm. If this cd came out today cancel culture would eat it alive. That's what I hate about rap today everyone sounds so alike. Back in the day you hade to be different to get picked up by a label because studio time wasn't cheap. Its great that rap music is affordable now that everyone can create it but it's water it down so much. Actually dumb it down to the masses.

His storytelling was ridiculous from the jump. And he rhymes words so effortlessly, you barely even notice he's doing it. He's completely fearless, switching up his voice to be whatever character he needs to. He was putting a movie in your head with how descriptive each part of the story is. "My Fault" is another great one like this.

I grew up in the same neighborhood as eminem and it adds this weird real life image in my head when he tells a story cuz i know where theres a rallys down the street from a trailer park and theres also a laundry mat near by.

Lmao went to the mall when this came out, (im 28 now) my mom got me this album even though the rating because i begged and my sister got britney spears album. 5 hours later my mom and dad both ask to show us our favorite song on the album that they bought so i go downstairs. I played this. Never saw the CD again LOL.

This song perfectly shows me why Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time. One of the main reasons is due to his unlimited vocabulary. He could literally say anything he wanted to do and was able to tell a hilarious story.

I remember this album coming out senior year of high school and trust me we all had the same reaction except we were laughing our butts off the whole time! This is the type of album that had to be purchased multiple times because of how scratched it always was from getting so much play.... Ahh the good ol days indeed 🥰

Eminem is the greatest lyricist of all time. There’s zero debate so don’t try to. It’s tough to accept for some but he is the GOAT and his catalog speaks for itself. Any debate of who is the GOAT is over! DONE! And it was actually pretty easy because he is so fucking good. Don’t even try to debate it!
