Part time വർക്കിനുള്ള permission ഒരു added advantage മാത്രമാണ്. Student വിസയിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു work ചെയ്യാൻ കിട്ടുന്നില്ല എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല. നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് പഠിക്കാൻ ആണ് വിസ കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിൽ പഠിക്കുക. ഇനിയും Student വിസയിൽ പുറത്തേക്കു പോകാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ ഓർക്കുക, part time job എന്നത് അങ്ങനെ വലിയ ഉറപ്പൊന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത കാര്യമാണ്. അഥവാ കിട്ടിയില്ലെങ്കിൽ എങ്ങിനെ ജീവിക്കും എന്നൊരു ചിന്ത കൂടി വേണം. ഞാൻ 2014 ഇൽ UK യിൽ നിന്നും graduate ആയ ആളാണ്.

I live and work in Uk ( as a bus driver) one day a girl got on my bus she was talking to someone back home in Malayalam .I could clearly hear what she was talking about ,she was literally crying ( there were only few passengers on board that time) from her conversation I can understand she came to study in Greenwich University. I could see through my cabin screen she was in terrible pain and in tears . I could easily hear her crying conversation in Malayalam. She was talking about money and living conditions. So sad situation,my friends here life is not easy.

I did my masters at St patricks college at oxford street in 2010...lived for 4 years...came back to kerala in 2014...then lived in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for 5 yrs from 2015 to 2020. Have my IT company there in malaysia. 2020 Covid struck hard and i came back to kerala. 2 yrs now. If you get admission to one of the top ranked universities, then it's all good. Otherwise, better get some expertise on relevant skills. like 3 to 5 years experience in your area. Also it's good to have better command over English. Even though the norms say no IELTS, it will be a bit hard to communicate to the native speakers. As mentioned by the student in the interview, it's not that difficult to find a job in medicine or IT , if you have enough expertise. Thats what I feel personally.

There are plenty of job opportunities for students and changing to work visa got easier. Cost of living has considerably increased and finding accommodation could be a challenge. I lived in UK for nearly a decade and still keep in touch with old friends. Life has always been hard and keep the expectations low.

I have been in the UK since one year, and what the girl said is true. If someone is planning to migrate make sure you know what you will be doing here. The work culture and style differs from India. Yes we Indians mainly Keralites are skilled in liesure work but here that wont work. The employer takes advantage of every single penny they pay us. Its not easy as we did. No chair, no proper rest but a load of physical labour. Those who are planning to come please be aware of the system.

That is not the issue regarding UK, that is true for anybody in any country, you may be fed with golden spoon. The reality is UK economy is suffering a hit, that means there will be trouble ahead. People are willing to become slave to make money or study in the western country. In the past they provided safe heaven due to the success in the globalization Now there is literally trade war and war going on one side and the other side financial books are showing long term recession and may be depression. which means you cannot even become slave even if you would love to do it . 10% inflation and 6 to 10% interest rate for 10 years with no growth also means you're million dollar house will cost only 100 thousand in 10 years. When people buy stocks they check the foundation and financials of that company (and for Briton i give 1/10 mark

I almost got into a UK university, but at the very last moment, I decided not to leave Kerala for the UK. I know that much of the discussion about the UK is misguided. Every immigrant faces issues in a new country. However, the reason I had to drop the UK was that it is a very small country. Compared to the land size, it is nearly big as Maharashtra (0.42 times bigger than Maharashtra) Therefore, for a small country like the UK, it will face issues in dealing with the spike in international students. They are welcoming international students to increase their nation's GDP despite inflation and war. After 2021, the UK relies heavily on international education, which adds to their Net Factor from Abroad. They are also adding more employment opportunities for international students, and most immigrants are contributing to their GDP. However, in my calculation, it will be extremely hard for the UK, being a small country, to add more job vacancies for more international students. In my opinion, by 2025, the UK will limit international immigrants to occupy jobs in their country, as they will have an emergency to find more jobs for their citizens. Some of their citizens are homeless and living in the streets, pickpocketing, and engaging in robbery, which has surged crime rates for the last five years. This means the government will not give permanent residency to international students, and they will eventually cut off the two-year stay-back time. Therefore, the risks are concerning, which made me drop my dream of studying in the UK. Everything I said was based on my research and anticipation of the UK's future. This might be positive or negative!

Most of the kids leaving for UK or other Western countries are poor gullible ones searching for green utopian pastures on the other side after watching some *Instagram reels.* Student visas are exploitation business that supports these Western economies. Students from India pay double the amount of tuition fees, end up doing cheaply paying exploitive jobs, pay taxes to that country itself, and end up spending the majority of their earnings in that economy itself. At the end a few might be able to get a PR and the rest would be shipped back to India with a ridiculous amount of student loan waiting for them back home

The first person said in a genuine way…if you want to work in management area after completing mba we get job in india but the salary may be not high..so when comparing the money we get here when we get any basic job will be higher than a normal job in kerala..this will motivates all middle and lower middle class family..but in a rich person point of view.,if he can manage to earn more than 2 lakes from his job along with family inheritance income in kerala this place won’t suit…

If you study well and complete MBA in a good college in India, you can earn minimum 12-14 lakh per annum. Fees will be more, but as the colleges are good bank loans are quite easy.

@@rasputin774 Well I’m was comparing mba job with a basic job in here. I don’t think every mba graduate can earn that money,only a minority can achieve. That is also true for those who born and brought up in a wealthy family with good inheritance.they are the one Luckily earring more money. I specifically talking about the middle and lower midd class family. After a period of struggle they can really achieve their goals..for some people their job satisfaction will be nothing when comparing with their family duty and responsibilities..for them this is a better place .. So please listen wisely to each and every one talking in the videos..every one talking from comparing their own backgrounds…so if we listen to someone with our same backgrounds , take their suggestions , see if that ok to follow... Even if you managed to stay in the UK for few years time you can see our backgrounds are matter to help us to settle here. Those who don’t have any responsibility back home will buy house in 2-3 years ,others may take even more than 10 years. But still the later think ,they managed to do all these things bce they are living here…

@@mariaj7283 money doesn't matter, if you are joining a tier 1 or 2 MBA college in India,.you can earn well and good. Your background doesn't matter. Banks will give collateral less loans too. In my college, this year's placement average is around 17.lakh CTC with 16 median. My fees is paid by a loan. If you have no talent,.even uk can't save you. And most of them running of to UK is from that bunch.

I had been to UK several times and met many students from India. If you have good score in your qualifying Exams and having enough money then its a good place for education. There are world famous universities here and at same time low categories mainly aiming for money also available. Parents are to be careful and do a good research before sending children.

അവിടെ ജോലി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ അതിനനുസരിച്ചു പൈസ കിട്ടും. ഇവിടെ പിള്ളേർ ജോലിക്ക് കേറിയാൽ 15000 കിട്ടും കൂടിപ്പോയാൽ ഇവിടെ petrol അടിക്കണേൽ തഞ്ഞേ 105 രൂപയാ liter ന്. അപ്പോൾ petrol അടിച്ചു തഞ്ഞെ കയ്യിലെ പൈസ തീരും പകുതിയിൽ കൂടുതലും അതുകൂടാതെ hospital case വന്നാൽ തീർന്നു കാര്യം അവിടെ ഇങ്ങനെ ഉള്ള കാര്യം ഒന്നും നോക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം ഇല്ല.

Any western countries You have to work hard… I worked in USA 22 years as a Registered Nurse… Only very few days I got a 30 minute break during a 12 hr. Shift..Many days had no food during my work… So my point is Students any where in western countries do not expect any easy job… You have to work hard for each penny You earn..

Key thing is make sure what you want in life... If you are really determined to hit the ground running you will be fine. I have been here for 4 years and I have seen people come and people leave who come as students. If you don't plan ahead and have a strategy on what you going to do, then you are going to struggle. If you were average in studies back home then you will have to excel here to stand ahead.

I have been staying in uk .for the past 2 years...i have been working in the health sector as a medical attendant. mark my words..yes you can make money..but the sacrifices and discrimination we face will hurt us very badly..most of their attitudes are very bad..they make fun of our English style...and the prices are soaring high...even if we get a p.r it's not worthy a life here..but still money as a fact atleast we could help our family back home....

I've been in UK for the past 3yrs. Life in UK is largely exaggerated by most of KZfaqrs & Agencies for their personal monetary gains or for publicity. Clueless people back home believe their words and invest millions of hard earned money to migrate to UK. In reality with the soaring cost of living, skyrocketing bills & super scarce accommodation availability, it's not that worth anymore. Majority of your earnings have to be spent at UK itself inorder to survive. Savings is a dream here.

My relative get 4 lakhs salary p.m. ..after tax only 2.5 inr coming in a/c. Many are working in such a way that they are getting money by hand. So no tax to pay as it is not shown in a/c. Better we cannot use the term slaves- those people give dignity to every job there unlike us

Every job is respected and valued without discrimination. Only the problem is that Rome is not built in a day . Initial struggle , cultural shock , homesickness, stress at work and lack of fund to settle down a couple of years ,is to be managed effectively. If u could you succeed 👍

If any one come to uk on student visa with the purpose of settling here they may have to pay huge money as living expense , tuition fees ,visa fees , work permit , for permanent residency and for citizenship ship . Travelling to India with expensive flight charge . It takes at least ten years . Roads are there everywhere ,even better one . That’s not the argument here . Expect the expense and take a decision before taking huge loan for student visa and being under pressure

Of course warehouse jobs are bit physically challenging, but they treat all the employees equally.

Amazon jobs/warehouse jobs 1. You’ve to stand at least 4 hours straight even though you can sit down and do the job 2. There are no bathroom breaks 3. Managers will start to shout if you take a small break or low on the target(humanly impossible ones) 4. Even if you finish your work you’re not allowed to rest (you just roam around with jpcarts) 5. Only motivation is you get paid £12.27/hr Care home jobs 1. You need vehicle to cater if it is 2-3 homes a day if you’re doing home to home. 2. The people treat you differently according to their personality. Most of them doesn’t care. 3. Lunch breaks are not even possible several times 4. Pay is not compensated. Other parttime jobs 1. It’s ok to an extend but will never get paid more than minimum wages 2. You can feel how people treat you and if you can’t understand their gestures it is fine. Just like dileep in spanish masala scolding while saying sorry. Modern day slavery It is true and you’ll never notice. If something falls on your body(happened with a friend) they should be paying compensation and health care. They don’t even care even though the rules are different. Full time jobs It’s really tough to get one with a visa sponsorship so people are trying to fit in wherever they can. Deporting, mental breakdown and depression, student suicidal rates etc. are really high compared to other countries.

I will just go with whatever the girl who spoke last discussed. All what the students need to do is not trust everything a consultant in Kerala tell them and have the facts understood before they fly to the UK. If you are qualified, and study well, then despite the struggles that you will inevitably face, there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Honestly I got disgusted by what the second bloke said… that we are slaves here… I don’t think such attitudes will help… not just in the UK but with life in general!

I had been in UK for 6.5 Years. Went there in 2000. To an extent, they did treat us as slaves. They used to assign tough tasks to Indians, Ghanians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Srilankans and Jamaicans. The white men had the privilege of supervision. Yes life is tough! Instead of choosing, UK, I would suggest the students from Kerala to choose Australia or Ireland. Atleast the possibility of staying back is much better than UK. At the end of the day isn't that the intent of every one going to these countries, "Out of the frying pan and into the fire".

Its just simple economics! UK can boost their currency through this education business and countries unskilled labour supply will be met with minimum cost. People who will be working in service industry will again face problems because most of these companies are outsourcing their jobs to Indian or other countries where they can get good brain with minimum cost. Eventually your skill sets will be compared with all over the world if it can be outsourced in any way and you may have to work/think better than them. The certificate issued by a foreign university can do nothing with your thinking process! So think from your future employers perspective, will they choose you when they can hire other 5 Indian brains with same cost in India through their outsourcing partner to get things done? At the end of the day companies want to see positive numbers on their book.

വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ബിരുദം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം ഉന്നതപഠനത്തിനായി പോയിരുന്നവരായിരുന്നു മുൻപുള്ളത് എന്നാൽ ഇന്ന് പ്ലസ് ടു കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ പോകുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അത് നമ്മുടെ ഉന്നതവിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ തികഞ്ഞ പരാജയമാണ് കാണിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രധാനമായും top mark നേടുന്നവരെല്ലാം വിദേശത്തു പോയി പഠിക്കാനും പഠനത്തിനു ശേഷം അവിടെത്തന്നെ പൗരത്വം നേടി ജീവിക്കാനുമാണ് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത്. ഇവിടുത്തെ കോളേജ് അന്തരീക്ഷം പഠിക്കാൻ ഉതകുന്നതല്ലെന്ന് എല്ലാവർക്കും ബോധ്യമായി.( കോളേജ് റാഗിങ്, കോളേജ് രാഷ്ട്രീയം ഇതൊക്കെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ മാത്രമേ ഈ നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലും കാണുകയുള്ളു )

I studied in one of the best colleges in Kerala .I live in the US and my children study here- one in college and one in high school. In my experience there are both pros and cons in studying abroad. IMO, my high school kid in 11 grade may know maths/science etc will be much less than his peers in Kerala.But his knowledge in communication/presentation/english/analaytic skills/ how to speak up/question others/entreprenership/business/everyday life etc will be much better than Kerala students. My college going son takes one 2-3 hour class every day and rest of the day is free. He takes 4 or 5 subjects a semester. I remember my college was fro 9-4 for 9 months a year for 4 years. But my son is assisting his professor in medical research and gets opportunity to do exchange program and has had multiple job offers in medical fields. I am very sure that students in Kerala will be more academically sound than him. The focus is different. There is no right or wrong And there is hazing/ragging in many countries including the US

Don't come for an MBA or such courses. Come for Nursing & Medical Field or Core Engineering (also includes superb skills + experience+ domain knowledge). Other field is IT, but again check the domain of expertise. Freshers are strictly not wanted here except if you were a prodigy.

I have just one fine thing to say: A country's government that encourages or forces its citizens to emigrate out of the country shows the TOTAL incapacity in implementing adequate socio-economic welfare policies within the country. With this intense thought of migration, India will never become a proper economic power. If 2%of Indian population get rich that does not mean the rest of the 98% is socio-economically ok. Governments must reflect over it seriously. Migration of Indian brains to developed countries is never a motive of proud for Indian welfare. If you think and believe it that way is the indicator of lack of vision and social deterioration within the country. Our brains must have the possibility to stay within the country. That must be the prime duty of Indian administrative institutions. Political leaders going after corruption can't fill the pocket of every Indian citizens. Indian socio-cultural system is a passive aggressive society in terms of their participation in the best practice of politics. People in India lead their lives they are separated from politics. If people stay passive before the malpractice and corruption of Indian politicians, then you are simply supporting their illegitimacy and corruption. They are not responsible for your ruin. It is your responsibility to show them the proper trajectory.

I believe India is doing by far good with the available resources and its humongous population. (80% of which are classic case religious nutjobs yet to transist from Neanderthal to Modern Humans , so they tend to vote for further nutjobs ) but inspite of all this our country which has every reason to spiral down into a civil war ridden hell hole like somalia/Syria. We are still holding on .. It might take 2-3 generations more.. India will come to a right trajectory. Lets hope for the best.

People who are saying every job has a dignity and you get respect in UK not in Kerala. That’s your coping mechanism to get away with your miserable situation. They consider these jobs as inferior jobs that’s why natives don’t do these kind of jobs. Just like Malayalis don’t do some work usually immigrant workers do in Kerala. You can say you earn more in UK than Kerala. Because you don’t understand purchase power parity. You are not getting rich by going to UK. You are going to be poor in some different part of the world. This is going to be case for 90% students who is going to UK.

Nobody is compelling to go to UK . I was there for more than 4 years as a student n struggled a lot n now migrated to Ireland. You have to work hard no matter where you are if you do, you will get your results. The guy who was saying that we are treated like slaves is not right it is not Middle East where your opinion is dishonoured. You have your own rights there if you Stand for it. I was not even worked for more than 15hrs per week as of the shortage not only me but all our room mates. Be happy where you are and do you work honestly you will be rewarded.

Largest number of keralites live and work in Middle East without even knowledge of Arabic or even good English with tax free salaries including lots and lots of achayans and achayathis, and nobody is compelling them to go there. Yes we may feal loneliness broken its because we moved from our comfort zone.. We may have to do some jobs which we never did or like the person who had a good job in India may have to do a job as Waiter but everyone here have ther own values irrespective of the job they do 🤷🏻♀️ and in terms of accomodation that is very bad I also felt the same but as govt is doing many reduction in bills. And we can survive with the 20 hr work while we studies 🤷🏻♀️. I also not paid my fee completely 🤷🏻♀️ i also trying to find my fee from job. It may take time. But we have to find a way. Dnt come to uk 🤷🏻♀️ ingane parayanavar enthond naattilek ponilla and thr family also coming here after months🤷🏻♀️ if you have the will ther will be a way 🤷🏻♀️.

I personally know people from three categories in the recent surge of students to UK ever since the Govt made student visa easy accessible 1. Smart people, top performers in their jobs back in India, good communication skills, not overwhelmed by a new country, wanting to move to UK - they have been doing extremely well 2. People fresh out of college with poor or average academics, strugglers, no job or jobs down the value chain, poor communication, moving to UK expecting a life seen in Instagram photos 3.People who realised that there is quick and easy cash here, started agency in UK or India, offering places for students in Unis and take a cut from the Unis So of the three, group 1 and 3 have done extremely well, and group 2 which unfortunately is 80 percent of the crowd, have struggled. Anyone surprised ?

As an expat living and working in Belgium past many years...I have never seen so many Indian/ Malayalee students in the UK and other Schengen countries like Germany, The Netherlands etc. Since the Brexit, combined with the Ukraine war, the situation in the UK is not too good! Especially inflation. I have so many British clients, who tell me, groceries , shopping have become double the price! Gas and Electricity as well. I am just thinking about the students here in Europe...who has taken huge amounts of Rupees as study loan. With 20 hours per week work, it is not possible to meet all expenses for students. I really hope for the best for all of them.

It's not at all easy to get a chance to study there. Also very costly. The monthly fee, room rent, power & water charges, food, travel... everything is costly. So, think twice before you start preparing. If you can afford then proceed further.. otherwise try to study anywhere elsewhere...

മുൻപ് ഇല്ലാത്ത വിധം വലിയ തെള്ളാണ് UK യിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ 3 കൊല്ലത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായത്. BREXIT നെ തുടർന്നാണ് ഇതു. ഇത്രയും ഇളവുകളോടെ UK പിള്ളേരെ പഠിക്കാൻ എടുത്തത് 10 പൈസ ഫീസ് ഇനത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കാനാ. ഈ വരുന്ന പിള്ളേർ അവിടുത്തെ PART TIME ജോലികളിൽ ഏത്തപ്പെടുന്നു. മഹാ ബഹുഭൂരിപക്ഷവും ഒരു മണവും ഗുണവും ഇല്ലാത്ത കോഴ്‌സ് പഠിച്ചു BLUE COLLAR ജോലികളിൽ എത്തുന്നു. നേഴ്‌സുമാർക്ക് UK വളരെ നല്ലതാണ്. പക്ഷെ STUDENTS നു UK മോശമാണ്.

I completely disagree with Mr. Vishnu Prakash. I have been in the UK for 3 years now. I came as a Student and got a job here. According to him, "people are treated as slaves" and "the boarder security forces are racist". Both these comments are utter nonsense. I have worked with English people and other EU nationals but I have never experienced any racism or bad treatment from them. Asianet, I kindly request you to take opinion from people who have spend more time in UK for studies or employment.
