Here in the UK my nephew has just finished a 4 year apprenticeship with BMW as a motor mechanic. I was asking him if he could strip down and engine and gearbox and how long to put it all back together again. I couldn't believe it when he said they don't train them to strip them down to the full basic parts but they either condem the engine or fit parts on to it if it's not too badly damaged. WTF. So basically he is a service fitter, doing basic things like brakes, changing oil ect. It's not his fault it's companies taking money from the government to train apprentices and just using them as cheap labour. Oh yes, he went to college 1 day per week but they seemed to be in it just for the money also. And why would they give a fuck as their not British owned companies anymore. And yet these young lads in this video can strip it down to nuts and bolts, repair, service it and reassemble it in jig time. Excellent.
