For me, with some overpronation that has been running for a decade plus, the Gel-Nimbus 26 is a huge improvement over the 25th version ! It is much more stable, more nimble, has more traction, and the upper is more tuned to any environment. But the Gel-Nimbus 25 was super soft cushioning, upper super soft, and the durability of the outsole was outstanding. But the upper was hot and a sponge for water. Was not possible to run in raining days because of the upper, not the outsole traction. In the end, the Gel-Nimbus 26 is a better shoes to run and walk for me. But I miss that extremely softness... Great video, man ,by the way ! Most channels see no difference between the shoes ,LOL . They say it was all cosmetic only.

I totally agree. As someone who over pronates slightly, the nimbus 26 are great

Thanks for your comparison of these. I'm wearing Clifton 9s for my job - I work in a school - so am on my feet all day. Also wore Clifton 9s around Disney for 2 weeks and didn't get sire once. The 25s are on sale in the UK due to the 26s being released. Do you recommend be buying the discounted 25s or shelling out for the 26s? Not a runner but want comfy trainers to wear all day or any other alternatives I may have missed? 25s in UK £120 26s £180. Any advice appreciated.

After many Asics Gel-Nimbus running shoes, the Gel-Nimbus 26 is the first that rubbed my Achilles tendon because of the knit heel pull :(

It was very breathable for me for high cushioning shoes. The upper decipate heat very well and the wind could enter easily also by that knit tongue. Hot shoes are my New Balance 1080 v13 ( snug fit in the forefoot and with a tick and unbreafable tongue) or a GT 2000 12 . Another better or similar breathable shoes as the Nimbus 25 were my Invincible 3, Wave Sky 7 and Infinity Run 4. The 1080 v13 is by far my hottest shoes I have been using this summer ( South hemisphere) here. But still useful... but I have to leave my 1080 getting some air after my runs because the upper gets super wet after every run above 25°C and above. I never had this sweat problem with my old Gel-Nimbus 25. But it was a sponge upper and was my worst option to use then to run in raining days.
