Autistic people also have varying levels of intelligence. I recall someone in a friend’s church connect group meet up. And people treated him differently, they were nice to him, but they talked to him like he was ‘special’, but for me it was very easy to connect with him. I got all of his jokes and we were able to just talk back and forth quickly and easily. I know Elon Musk has autism. My sister used to think I did, but I don’t. I do have ADHD and I guess there is a little bit of overlap. But the guy said sometimes people didn’t treat him well or thought that he was less intelligent (when he obviously wasn’t). He said even his dad and I believe brother would tease him and bully him a bit. He could tell he was different, but I believe he just had undiagnosed autism. His intelligence seemed to be above average to me.

As a person with Asperger's Autism, I have always felt indifferent towards it by "masking" ( a term I only recently learned months ago) and just denying I even had it despite knowing really well I had Autism and ADHD. I thankfully went to a nice private school for special needs students and they helped me out but I never really was in "touch" with my Autism and for a long while was ashamed/embarrassed by it in that I felt "weak" and "powerless" because of all the help I needed back then during school and in community college so I would just avoid any help what so ever and in a way "deny" I had Asperger's Autism since it made me feel so insecure and there were loads of negative stereotypes around it. Only recently in my late 20s now have I been coming to terms with it and making "peace" with it. I have just discovered your channel and I can say that it has made me critically look over my life and by deal with Autism and I am slowly coming to terms and acceptance for what I have.
