The fact that the balance is always right because of the design, makes it possible to buy guitars only seen un pics and still know they're gonna work. Great!

Summed it up perfectly, I’ve been a Les Paul / Gibson guy for most of my playing career but always had a soft spot for strats over any other fender body style, p bass/Music man as well and I recently got my first real fender Strat and I’m in love with how balanced and comfortable and durable it is. Of course I got a custom scale length (24.75”) and a rear-routed body with a single humbucker but still, it’s a licensed fender Strat body and neck from warmoth and it’s lovely. Leo Fender really nailed it. Great video sir!

My main guitar has always been my 3 tone American Series Stratocaster 2001 model. Never have I ever had such a connection with a guitar that I have felt the need to play it on everything I did. This guitar is that for me. Some times I need humbuckers, and sometimes I need a Floyd Rose. But most of the time unless I am playing a gig where I specifically need a type guitar, my Stratocaster gets the job done! It's amazing to think that Leo got it all right in 1954!

New sub... More of this guy please. The previous video to this, where he mentions string wraps and break angle, that blew my mind

The good ergonomic balance is also facilitated by use of the upper horn which places the strap attachment level with the 12 fret. It shifts the guitar's centre to the player's right compared to guitars without the extended horn (Telecasters, Les Pauls etc). This is very important in determining how the guitar not only balances from the shoulder, but also it facilitates a player's left hand and arm by reducing the extension they require away from the players body. I don't know if the Stratocaster was the first instrument to employ the extended horn but it is certainly one of its key ergonomic strengths.

Yep. Just perfectly laid out. Five different sounds at the flick of a switch. Close volume control. Great Vibrato system. All Fenders need 1/2 a business card shoved up to the body under the neck, to drop the headstock down a bit. I was playing a Stratocaster, starting Christmas Day of 1963, which is before most of the hot shot players. Maybe Buddy Guy, Don Wilson, Ike Turner, Jimmy Amerson, and perhaps one of the guys in a Doo Wop group were playing a Strat before I was. But I wanted one since maybe 1958 or '59, when I saw Buddy Holly's on the cover of "The Chirping Crickets." I am currently blessed with four, and they all feel and sound different. Hope to get the Gibson match of a Strat, a Custom Shop version of the 1964 SG Standard, which is also perfectly laid out.

Hey Brenden. Could you tell me the proper way to set my tremolo springs. I see some guys attaching them at an angle.

Great video! and I totally agree with the argued points. However... I do think that whilst the floating bridge was a major breakthrough in guitar development, the classic Strat bridge has become very outdated. Compared to a Floyd Rose, you could even say that the standard Strat bridge does not work. For me personally, one of the very few reasons I don't consider it as a main. Other then that... Total legend.
