Congrats, Johnny! I did enjoy the fall split with the swiss format the most, but I wish RLCS would use the Bucholz system to assign more fair late round opponents than just random chance. Also not doing the spoiler protection sucks.

As far as “Best” format, I think a modified version of spring’s format would be great where everything is the same except instead of the 2 Upper Semi teams and the 2 Lower Semi teams playing each other, why not have the Upper Semi Team 1 play Lower Semi Team 1 and Upper Semi Team 2 play Lower Semi Team 2, EXCEPT they are both Bracket reset Bo7 series… Winners of those series play each other in a Grand Final single Bo7 series to win. And with the spring format being used up until the top 4, there would a smaller likelihood of rematches at all between the top 4 teams, making these matches even more exciting… Also, this would NOT increase the amount of total series played either, as the top 4 in the spring and winter formats play 4-5 total best of 7s, but only 3-5 in this modified format, giving opportunity for less total series and maybe a little less viewer fatigue. That way, the top 2 seeds never have to play each other until the grand final, and not bracket reset in the final for an epic final showdown WHILE still rewarding the upper teams for not losing at all up to that point. If you can’t seed the tournament based on Circuit points (like in the Fall split), I still think that Swiss into an 8 team playoff is pretty good too, but if you know the seeds, the above described format is the format I think would be most exciting for fans AND rewarding for players

I don't think it's because they learn that much faster, they just got much much more time. Imagine having a full job like me, apart from that doing KZfaq Content, having a girlfriend, all the stuff you need to do as a grown up anyway and then having only a small amount of time left. They just have plenty of time and don't need to worry about all the stuff parents have to worry about each day.

In terms of mindset and muscle memory, I think in rocket league more so than most games the difference between good and great is that a lot of the active thinking becomes passive in addition to muscle memory, and you effectively free up space in your brain for a deeper level of coordination and awareness

@JohnnyBoi_i Thanks for the part where you talk about smurf accounts. I made one purely to play with a few friends who at the time were many ranks below what I am. With how matches are made using my main basically meant we were overpowered and they wouldn't want to play. Which also was a problem for my last group of friends as well. People would say just deal with it or do casual. I always thought that was silly. Why would we want to play together if they cant do anything but watch people at my rank fly in the air with the ball? How is casual the same as ranked? We should be more worried about smurfs that shit on people and taunt them knowing full well they're waaaaaay above their skill level.

My biggest request for the RLCS production crew is please instead of 5 minutes of a big spinning car in between matches please can we put the bracket in that space.

For me something into single-elim is the best format by far. I think Swiss is better than the RLCS groups format, but I would prefer to basically just do Swiss for seeding with very few eliminations into a *big* single-elimination bracket.

The only problem I see with a “team ranking” (although I still think this is a great idea) would be how the INITIAL ranking of 2-3 new partied up players is determined… for example, If you solo queue and want to party up with a player you had a good game with, how would that INITIAL party mmr be determined? Would the 2v2 and 3v3 mmrs be based on the average of the 2-3 players of a new party? And then for all following sessions, it just increases or decreases based on matches played together? It would just be exhausting to start at 600 mmr with every new player you party up with

I’ve always skateboarded and if someone called a kick flip a heelflip it might as well just be a board flip everything should be more clearly defined or just generalizations rocket league is a bit unique and it’s easier to describe exactly what happened instead of everything being extremely defined

1:06:40 on this casters being bothered to be there. I really felt this with stax casting the detonator matches at the winter major. The detonator vs faze match was for me the most fun match i watched all tournament, but stax was just downplaying everything detonator did and that made the series so much less fun to watch.
