The Jake comment was uncalled for, to say the least. These guys weren’t born like this, they made the greatest sacrifice, in case Jake doesn’t know. I served my country, not wounded but made huge sacrifices.

I use the shapton waterstones as per Robs recommendation. As i don't use a grinder i have stones as follows _ 120 220 320 I use a dia cast flattering stone on these. 500 1,000 4,000 6,000 8,000 16,000 30,000 I use the shapton flattering plate on those.

Thanks Rob. I missed the live broadcast but caught the recording partially today. My question about the injury and working around it was because I’ve had a pretty bad tear in my right shoulder and I’ll be undergoing surgery soon to repair it. The Dr thinks it’ll take about 6 months to recover to a point where I can start using my right arm regularly. Not sure if I can stand being out of the shop that long… I love the idea of using the hand plane in a pulling motion left handed, so I might get it set for a thin shaving before surgery so I can use it when I’m ready just to take a couple thin shavings to scratch my itch. I may even try a left handed saw cut or two!

For the raffle - rather than a large number of cheap tickets, consider a limited offer of expensive tickets. They used to do this in Dubai airport for a class car e.g. a Rolls Royce. 1,000 tickets at $100 each. The lower the odds, the better chance you think you have!
