Steve is one of he funniest folks I've known in the world of comedy. I used to cuss or curse until I got delivered from it, it is a habit that you start and just like you can start you can also stop. Blessings and cursing should not come out of the same fountain. It's not easy but it can be done. We all need deliverance from something.

Me too Steve! 🙋 I inherited cussing from my dad as well. A lot of ppl will never understand, but I don't try to make them. Although I do hate it when ppl try to change me. Steve is 100% right it just relieves so much stress. The key is to just know when to turn it off. If you can control it that's all that matters. The problem is those that have no consideration when it matters the most, like respecting your elders.

I grew up not cussing and realized I was attracting a lot of of built of stress. I started cussing and I felt the release. Cussing in my vocabulary don't exist. The word paper today can be deemed a cuss word tomorrow. And I still have an amazing relationship with Jesus. Cussing doesn't make you any less of a Christian. In fact, it makes you more of a excellent communicator and releases negative tension. This is truth!!!

I have no idea how people cuss. We grew up without hearing any swear words. The first time i heard someone swearing, was on TV, on an American show. By then i was a quite grown up. In my culture swearing is just not done..my kids are growing up the same way. They never hear my husband or me cuss. They hear it at school, come home and tell me so and so said a terrible word but i will not say it because in this house we do not use bad words. I have had a hard life, but my mouth is for praising God. No sour words shall come out of it.. I try, not perfect but i try..

I used to swear/use foul language when I was younger a lot. I was lucky because I had a few different people humbly offer me feedback about it. They approached me respectfully and asked me why I swear. I said to add more flare to what I am talking about. They said are you aware of how it can make people perceive you? It can also deter certain types of people from wanting to be around you. I went home and examined that. I also had someone else tell me that I sound like trailer park trash/uneducated. I took that into consideration. And after much reflection saw what they were saying. As the years have passed I have really become averse to it. If I am around people who swear frequently I am totally turned off. When I go on the bus for instance and hear people using that type of language it feels off-putting not to mention there are times where people are swearing at each other and then things get hostile which ends up causing me to feel unsafe. Let's be honest a lot of people use swearing when they are feeling hostile in some way so there are associations between foul language and violence. I think about children and how adults shame and punish them for swearing and how much of a contradiction it is that adults feel in no way that their behavior is in contrast, what message does that send. Like a husband saying I can flirt with other women but if you do it you are a bad wife. Children are our litmus test. If you do not condone children saying those words why do adults feel superior in that way. If I go to a restaurant and in the midst of eating a great meal, the people next to me are swearing its such a turnoff like someone farting or vomiting near me. I am in no way saying to ban swear words but to use them wisely. It is called foul language for a reason.

I can relate about the attitudes in the medical community. I am a 63 y/o female, and whenever I go for wellness checks they are always amazed that I am not on any type of prescriptions. I also find cussing to be a good and harmless release.

Yeah believe it or not there are plenty of people that just do not curse. I didn't grow up around people that cursed in my family and most of my close friends growing up didn't. You don't have to curse to express yourself. As the young lady mentioned kill 'em with kindness. It is way more effective!
