Are you thinking of siliglass? If so while it has replaced most breaking glass in film cups and glasses and other tactile glass objects are usually still sugar glass because siliglass is very flexible and doesnt really work for objects that will be held, it bends in your hand just from gravity. and also I'm pretty sure not safe to consume

TIPS: 5:11 transfer sponge. Cleaner, faster, there's no brush texture and in this context, each scale would be different as each scale would be touched by a different part of the sponge, rather than the streaks of the brush. It would also leave an embossed finish as the paint gets separated (you should watch how the machines do it when they transfer paint from the part, it's important to mimic the motions to get a perfect dab). For this one, i would've used a stone finish (something coarse, but not too coarse to fill the grooves, so probably fine sand finish) spray paint as the base layer. It also gives a live like texture that's reminiscent of actual scales. Finally 6:59 for the eye, a great way to get super realistic eyes is to take one of those glass marbles you find online, slice it using a diamond grinder, polish and paint it to look eye like (a bit milky in this case, cause egg) and then inset it inside a premade socket. You'll never make an eye as convincing as faking it with a piece of glass (or as they do in the industry, print hyper realistic eyes in resin). My personal recommendation, hollow and polish the eye piece. Huge improvement over regular puppet eyes. You'll have a hard time believing it's not real. Cheers. edit: oh, and you can make the egg shell pretty realistic if you make a slightly wetter plaster, pour it inside the egg (which needs to be easily removable, so sliced on both halves) and then shake it like, and roll it. You need to experiment with it to get the right amount of time. But once you did and a layer is well laid, you can crack the egg open, cut with a razor into the plaster shell and pour the excess out. Whenever you wanna glue it back, just dip the edges into more plaster and put them back together. Wetting the plaster with some spritz makes them really, really bond together. If you put some wood glue in the mix (again, you have to experiment with amounts) you can get a really strong shell. Source: we used to make smoke poppers with that stuff when we were kids using some ping pong balls or old film rolls as the ignited part).

You are so talented and inventive, good to see some other familiar creators in the video. I love the use of 3D printing along with your traditional sculpting skills.

Alright, this is cool. This video was really satisfying to watch. I love your work, it's really inspiring and I plan on creating an archaeopteryx or something of the sort this summer as I have a ton of feathers that need to be used

1. These are literally the coolest things I've ever seen and 2. If you haven't done a doofy linhenykus baby yet, I'd kill to see that, because I literally die laughing every time I see a photo of them or remember their existence

Just a little FYI, bird egg shapes are the wrong shape for dinos. Most Vegetarian dinos have spherical eggs while Carnivore dino eggs are long and thin, more like rounded ended bars then what eggs look like nowadays. Look at turtle eggs for the look of Vegetarian dino eggs, just with hard shells. And look at the egg the Alan Grant finds in the first JP movie, the Raptor egg, for the shapes you should be using.

Don't know if anyone has suggested this yet, but if you do something like this again, I think it would be really cool if you were able to make some kind of soft shelled egg, more like the kind that snakes and turtles lay.
