Notice that during that Anubis was DPSing the nail and then immediately switched to healing himself, not Sea Lion, building LB in the process. That was honestly a really smart play on both of their parts. Rarely do you get these epic moments in game but when you do they are so good. Also props to the WHM for swift casting that res on Sea Lion the second they got up.

@YumYum crit heals give more Lb meter. If you notice, Anubis heals himself to full health and uses Benefic and Aspected on Sea Lion to push the LB bar.

@YumYum if toi want you can do the free trial it's vert generous in content as you can do base game + 1 expansion for free, the bosses that asmon are fighting are available the you can have 100-200 hours of content for free the only thing that you cant do is join a Guild, do rank PvP, and using the auction house but it's very fair in content and i highly recommand that you try it

28:38 LB3 wouldn't have mattered during Ifrit's Enrage if the nail was still up. There are actually 3 players who clutched here, the monk beating down the nail before enrage, the tank holding out as long as he could and the healer readying LB3. This sequence of events was what led the team to victory. Of course as a team everyone did their part but that revive was a really clutch moment.

@@autumneagle My friend told me he's from 4Chan, where he bragged he's gonna do Ifrit and got laughed at for that. Apparently a very rude guy and a massive attention-seeker. The latter definitely seems true to me, he and the other catgirl from Garuda seem to be popping up around him constantly, while the other three people he friended don't show up at all.

Doing 7 year old content that you haven't done for years or may have never done 'for real' in front of 100k people live is definitely a big ask. The chat were calling them 'paypal clears'. People shouldn't be so extremist in their derision OR praise for people with Ultimate clears. Often it just means you slammed your head into one raid for weeks/months until you finally memorized an 18 minute fight for the one weapon glam. That still leaves mastery of...literally the rest of the game.

The most wholesome moment was when a bunch of idiots kept spamming him to change the party/the healer and the samurai.. and he was like no, they went trough this for 1-2 hours and that it wouldn't be fair to them at all. And seeing him actually beating Ifrit with that specific group was like watching a proud father seeing his son grow 💜

This fight is rough on healers. You get a debuff that makes you explode and cause AOE damage, so you can’t get close to people to AOE heal. They’re running around the arena killing the nails while you’re trying to run away from them. Hella fun, but it’s soooo easy for people to think you suck when you don’t. It’s just a lot!!

@@LaCeiba1924 I picked up SCH after finishing the 2.0 story, just because I was scared of healing and wanted to get over it. For whatever reason, I healed the EX primals instead of going on MNK... This fucking fight sucked so much. People killing nails too quickly after each other before I could heal everyone wiped us so many times.

When this content was current I stuck with the same group for nearly six hours to beat Ifrit, it felt amazing at the time. Too many groups now disband after a wipe or two.

Kinda reminds me of a clutch moment when I was doing a run of the Weeping City. We were up against Ozma and he was down to about 1% HP, and then suddenly 21 of us (including me) dropped dead and all that we had left were 3 DPS. And it suddenly turned into a race to see what happened first: the DPS got wiped out or the DPS managed to take out that last 1% of Ozma's HP. Then one of the DPS dropped. Then another DPS dropped. ....And then Ozma died. We literally had *ONE* person left standing when Ozma finally died. And everyone was justifiably freaking the hell out at just how close that fight was. XD

He was mostly fine the entire time lol. People didn't realize that one of the healers has to stay far away from the raid and the healers alternate which one of them has to. The times he got hit were when he had to stay away from the raid. Once both healers ended up on one side somehow which leaves like no room for the two of them to avoid things lol. The LB3 was clutch timing though. At first I thought they avoided the raidwide damage when I watched it live but on second watch they got all the nails down killing most of them and when they rezzed the raidwide wasn't bad enough to kill anyone.

He did well the whole time, this fight just sucks for healers. Killing the nails as fast as the dps were doing so kills the party and theres nothing the healers can do about it. Also some dps were messing up chains wich basically insta kills you.

No he still enjoys it but he just doesn't exxagerate it as much. That would explain why he cleared dark souls multiple time. Old content still has a purpose (mounts, glamour, trial roulettes) which is do great. You can run it for loot or simply shits and giggles, there will always be somebody doing it

I love so much that he's respecting the content not just by doing the Extreme content as he gets it in the story, but that he also does it minimum item level to boot to make it as "authentic" as possible to how it was way back when. It's so fun to watch and you get some great tense moments, and ofc that Healer LB3, chef kiss. Not much else to say, I'm looking forward to seeing him continue down the list and take on more EX Challenges at Min iLevel. It will be interesting to see how the other ARR Primals challenge him in that regard.

Can’t wait to see Ramuh ex. 😂 It’s a slow fight, but there’s so much happening at once that people get really confused. Can go from great to a messy disaster very quickly. That’s why we used to have loud macros and waymarks and symbols, everything we had to help people focus.

@@bahabahabahabahb1763 I wouldn't say that. Coils has been so long ago, I doubt even Legends would remember the more technical fights like 5, 7 and 9. I mean, even with multiple Legends, the EX Primals took multiple pulls. Especially when Ultimate mechanics probably take up massive amounts of brain space to recall.

Yea someone needs to teach him how to use his defensive cooldowns. You gotta cycle through them and use Holmgang ahead of time to prevent death. He barely used Thrill of Battle for both fights.

@@blakec8549 True, but if he intends to tackle hard content like savages and ultimates then he NEEDS to know that shit or else he's going to keep dying when he shouldn't, his dps output is going to keep being shit which may lead to failed dps checks, and his team is going to have to keep covering his ass which will their own exposed and lead to wipes.

Yeah, i help alot of people and nearly all are getting burned out of post arr msq... I tell everyone that they unlocked ALOT of content they could play at lvl 50, so they dont have to do msq ALL THE TIME. Most people ignore it completly and keep tunnelvisioning MSQ even if they dont enjoy it... On the other hand... most people i did min ilvl with enjoyed the hell out of the content and wanted more of min ilvl raids... Its still a loooong time until Endwalker, we are literally in the "End of expansion content drought" where endgame is resting and most people do stuff they want to get done before the next expansion.

I’ve been playing since 2.0 and that living dead into healer LB3 during incinerate was one of the most hype things I’ve ever seen. Props to the WHM for swift casting a Rez on sea lion the second they got up too.

I think the thing he is having the biggest issue is adapting to tanking in FF14 compared to WOW. He is constantly using his Defensive Cds when his health is already at about half or less. In wow this might be ok to do, but in 14 its a death sentence on harder fights (hence him dying constantly for it) You have to use them in a very proactive way in this game not reactive. The second thing is his ability to stick to a rotation. 14 is all about your rotation and especially on WAR when u pop Berserk but then only use your gcd combo with it. He to often is just sitting on 2 stack of infuriate, or berserk, or a full bar of beast gauge, sadly all of the above. At 70 the rotation will chance and be completely different, but his lack of DPS can lead to wipes from DPS checks later on.

In wow there is, for sure, cases where you should use your CDs at 100% HP, but thouse are usualy very specific and rare. Usually each tank has his onw minor abilities that are reducing dmg income, basically, built into their regular rotation reduce. Big CD are your Oh shit buttons in wow for the most part, if you overuse them- its pretty much a guaranteed deth, 'couse thouse "oh shit" situations are going to happend. If there is a "big dmg mechanic in wow", which there are plenty, especially in the latest raid or mythic, you usually need no avoid it somehow, or it's a deth even with all of your CDs up. Using big CDs befor the action is more of a monk or a DK(AMS) tank in wow tipe of thing, Warriors have a raid wide OH shit CD, a few of their own, one pre action big dmg reduction, which you usually dont use at a 100% health too and basic phisical dmg reduction, that is basicaly a part of the basic rotation, so thats what he's used to. Just for the context.

Here to blow your mind even more: The lyrics to Titan "Bow Down Overdweller" are sung by the composer (Souken) and the main head of English localization (MCK Fox.) They have a rock band together (alongside other musicians) called The Primals. There's a live rock version of this from a Fanfest a few years ago that is absolutely amazing.

If it's fun for us, who've been there and done that - to just watch such clutch gameplay. I'm pretty sure Asmon as a first timer was feeling genuine ecstasy, also with Nightmare whistle dropping as the sugar on top. It doesn't matter if everyone has it. The man got it with work and that's what counts. :) Gives ever more value to the mount itself with the memories tied to it.

@@Deminese2 I believe he more or less knows what his rotation should be, he's done it multiple times successfully during streams. But most of the time he starts to panic/get distracted by mechanics/raid frames in the middle of the fight and forgets about his beast gauge and all other skills aside from his Storm's Path/Storm's Eye combo.
