@@TheMaxCloud Still are. Outside of player Viera, I think the only Viera we have seen on the source so far is Fran. They are somewhat less illusive on the First. Though do correct me if I am misremembering.

Because even though FF14 players have been screaming how good it is for 10 years now, WoW players just kept calling us weebs and sticking with good ole trash tier WoW instead. Honestly it's bittersweet, I'm glad people have finally realized, and based on Asmongold I'm hoping it clears a lot of toxic players up, but also I don't want toxic wow to spill into 14. We'll see.

Was never big on WoW, but i know what it's like to have to leave an MMO you've enjoyed for years go to shit because of how crappy the devs take it. I believe my server had a 1337 or 6969 payout, and many won. For my part, I just randomize and make sure it's not that similar to the prior winning number, and I've won on random digits before. The ring is pretty ugly to glamour, not gonna lie.

@@xIKeepaIx I think the ticket gamble has a slightly higher than average chance of getting the 1 2 3, mainly because unlike wow, FF14 values your time and sanity, like all good gambling casinos would want you to have.

@@Chaosbird87 Nah, it's just not that hard to get. Since you can open 1 + 3 of 9 numbers, you can check around the low ones. In the end, it's just luck, I won 10k a lot by now but never got something from the jumbo cactpot. Also congratulations, enjoy your journey, it's a wonderful game.

I don't even wanna see this place anymore, I grinded almost 2 million MGP for that silly green sprout mount and the Fenrir mount. Spent countless hours doing the games there. Though I hear the new expansion will add new content there, then I'll check it out. But yes, it was worth it. Both mounts are awesome hahaha.

just do what i do and play the weekly cactpot and collect your glamour payout/scratch tickets and doing any gates that spawns while you happen to be there. Not as fast as grinding it out but does slowly add to your coffer so that when something new that you want does come out you already have all the MGP you need or near enough it doesn't take that long to get the rest.

I had the luck with an alt to win at first try the cackpot with it and can buy Fenrir with the Million. Funfact i was so early in the Story that I have not unlocked Mounts

Grinding anything can burn you out. But if you're diligent with the Mini Cactpot, and do the Jumbo Cactpot and Fashion Report weekly, and a few quick easy Challenge Log bonuses from a few other activities, just the lower count ones not like "15 chocobo races" but just the 5... you'll make an easy 100k MGP or so a week.

Completely agree. DMF lacks any "big" events. If they just added events like the ones FF has, i.e. jump puzzles, dodging mechanics, etc. and included fun vehicle minigames (like getting on a flying vehicle and targeting enemies on the ground as you fly by) it would be a lot better. As it stands, the Gold Saucer has better rewards and better content. There is almost no point in going to DMF outside of the rep and exp buff from the Merry-Go-Round.

I started playing like a month ago before he even started cause of an online friend anyways. Im having as much fun as he is seemingly with the game, glad he likes it! Now to grind for more points and level up more doing nothing but sidequest and putting off the main quest.

yes i too am happy he is playing the game it was meant to be played one piece of content at a time and leveling in the off time :D he is a true gamer to be sure, i hope he enjoys the rest of the journey too an will join us in Endwalker come november or december depending on how soon he finishes each expansion lol they are pretty long after all an he stated he has no intention to skip so that he can immerse himself an form a full unbiased opinion of the game mad respect to him for that.

I started playing FFXIV just before Asmon came to the game and already the game felt so big with all the people running around. It's been a long time since I could play an MMO and have people everywhere, actually made it feel massive like it is supposed to. Now since Asmon has started playing, there are SOOO many people, I love it! Sprouts rise up!

The best thing is that past a certain point, MGP is self sustaining and you never have to pay gil for more again. I'm sitting on 2 million waiting for them to add new things to buy since I've got them all already. Heck, Fashion Report alone is worth like 66K a week for a minimal gil investment.

@@Lunarfox Nah, it can't be illegal because FFXIV doesn't have a way to convert real money to ingame currency or vice versa. (Barring RMT, but even those are rare due to the nature of the game.)

TT is awesome specially when you get those rules applied, same and plus are my favorites. LoV is also a mini-game that imo could be a standalone mobile game due its depth(reason it wasn't popular in the beginning at least was because it had too much depth in it that made it feel like you were playing Starcraft).

@@Winland88 There are some NPCs that are so hard to beat until magically it's Reverse week, then you can DESTROY them. That one dude in House of the Fierce especially.... He's got Ascend rules and a mostly Garlean deck, so I pulled out my weakest 1 star deck (it's literally named Sh*t deck from before they blocked profanity in the deck names) during Reverse week and hammered at him til he finally gave up the missing card.

The Asmongold Saucer? For mini-cactpot the nine spaces will always have all the numbers 1-9, each one time. Not every ticket will have a 1-2-3 line, in which case try for a 7-8-9 line.

If nothing else, seeing the whole Asmongold experience unfurl before my eyes is fascinating because I'm someone who approached Final Fantasy 14 as a fan of Final Fantasy and not as a fan of MMORPGs, and it's always so interesting to see the way content that is clearly meant to tug at the heart strings of the nostalgic play into someone who's unfazed by such things. I think the thing that made me the happiest about my time with FF14 is that I have a friend who's a total zoomer, and had no experience with this franchise, and my ability to like... mark out for certain bits of nostalgia and to call out plot points based on how much I figured the Dev Team would want to make call-outs and references to previous games in the franchise got her to go back and start hitting up the games on the PS2, the PSX, etc. I still gotta get her to play the SNES trilogy.

If you are unsure get the free trial, you can lvl through complete ARR and the full first expansion Heavensward. It's a little "boring" in ARR but in the end it gets good and Heavensward itself is a masterpiece.

Also there is a starcraft like mini game there in the saucer, next to the triple triad area if i remember. Should try that out too. Lot of fun and it adds depth to the "pets" you collect since you use those in those battles.
