Good for you, and for your students. We so undervalue the immense impact that teachers and mentors can have on a young person. I’m sure if we surveyed some of the most successful and impactful people in our society, one thing they would have in common is at least one good role model/mentor. I still remember some of the early opportunities that adults gave me to be a leader and take responsibility. Those opportunities tend to snowball into a fulfilling and value driven life and some youth never get that early opportunity. I’m sure you will do a fantastic job.
