Really wish they kept that outfit for Bayek, it appears in a lot of early concepts but i like it a lot, the shield is the same

i also like it but it looks too neat for me. Like when bayek is a regular medjay he has his white robes that are clean but simple for the desert and reflects the economy in his area. When he wanders the desert searching for targets those robes turn rustic and dirty like he’s been on a quest for years so that authentic look is probably what they were going for

@uppin_downers I understand, and this first medjay outfit is essentially that one early outfit, without the hood, the trousers are pratically the same, and the lower part resemble that a lot. Usually I'm a sucker for early outfits that appears in some footage, full of details but never implemented in the retail version (still mad they didn't give us the "Victory Outfit" in Syndicate for Jacob, they did it with Unity). I understand that the outfit is just a placeholder or simply first ideas and then they changed their mind, but since you have already done it and like they said for Syndicate, the early outfit "didn't suit the style of the character" and bla bla bla, well just put it in the game, i don't care, we have legacy outfit from other periodo that certainly don't suit the characters but who cares, it's just an outfit, the characters will be remember with his iconic one, it doesn't change nothing.

That’s very interesting I never knew that assassins creed syndicates characters models where also in Origins as well, a few years ago I remember only seeing Arno model from Assassins creed Unitys,when then it got changed to Assassins creed origins bayeks prototype outfit, although I shouldn’t be surprised Unity and Syndicates engines were technically the same until Origins.

@@Big_Tuna81 likely only Jacob was used in origins development due to the fact that evie didn't even exist for much of syndicate development, and bayek is a male, so Jacob would've fit development testing better.

They were, Origins' engine is just a completely overhauled version of the Unity/Syndicate engine.

the water looked way better than the final build but i think they scaled it down for performance purposes cuz they test mainly for consoles

This Is Amazing! God I wish devs made modes that detailed the development process of the game showing bug testing/ physics testing rooms and concepts they worked on kinda like the god of war 1 extras area where we got to see early concepts of kratos or the speech bubbles in L4d that had devs talking about the level design and hurdles they faced.

Hurts to know a version of the Protector outfit (is that what it was called? The flashback outfit?) had a hood in early development.

It is interesting to think about what we know about origins early development if you compare it's development to other games. All the new development stuff that we get of AC syndicate display that Jacob was indeed the intended protagonist. We already know for many facts that only Jacob was planned as protagonist for syndicate, with evie being a late addition to the game to replace the cut co-op mode. With regards to Origins, I wonder if the "Juno event" levels being cut from origins, were replaced by the layla levels? After all, as far as I know, Origins was originally part of the same storyline as unity and Syndicate with Juno as the main villain.

4:28 The sails, the sails are look amazing. Both Makedonia main flag and Roman empire, why they had to remove them from the main game? Can you take those two flag materials and make a mod for AC Odyssey that will replace two random sails with these two?

Hey slider i was wondering whats the animation that plays when your flying the goofy one i see it all the time but idk how you do it or what the community refers to it as.

It is something the devs added in ac 1 for their dev kit to quickly move the player round the map for testing purposes, they decided to give it a fun animation instead of just having the character float. What I love about it is that no one was supposed to see it and they still bothered to animate it for their own amusement. I’ve always wanted to mess around with it to freely explore the maps like AC3 Abstergo or at least have free cam. I have no idea how this KZfaqr has access to it
