I'd say that could be mostly true, but I thought it laid down an interesting foundation for the Assassin vs Templar conflict. Maybe they could have made it a little more "grounded" by having the precursor artifacts be more related to human religion than an ancient civilization. Considering AC starts during the crusades where religious fanaticism was at an all time high. Though as far as the canon events of the series go, I feel after the Ezio and Kenway trilogy, the artifacts and amount of precursor involvement in the story became a little over the top and took away from the historical part of the story. Like Valhalla and Odyssey for example were just ridiculous with both games heavily focusing on that and hardly focusing on the Assassins.

@@Anne6972 odyssey and valhalla were good games in my opinion, but I agree, it got real weird with the storyline in regards to the precursor stuff

basically rewriting AC from AC1? because its since the earliest game

@@mudfightmaster4275 believe me, I know there's no changing it. I've played most of the games since AC1, I'm just saying that had they written it differently from the start sans all the sci-fi stuff, I think it would've been better. I just absolutely do not care about the precursor subplot

@@goondaddy1446 to be honest, literally the first mission of the franchise is to stole a piece of eden in the cave, even though yes its still possible to rewrite the story, it gets old pretty quickly. basically its Marvel's Civil War (since both sides were fighting for peace) but extended from the early civilization to the latest, its way too long, and at some point both sided could just made peace. but with those precursors and piece of eden u get amazing stories like how these stuff corrupt people, and even in AC 1 you realize both sides is good, theres only evil templars and evil assassins, discovered when our mentor is getting corrupted by the apple. or when shay destroyed lisbon and how the brotherhood just power hungry at that time, it gave us great story... i respect ur opinion and i can see how ppl dont like it, but one of the best game in the franchise(AC2) literally introduced those beings...

Origins just had the most fulfilling storyline with great mix of mission types

Ac Origins is one of the least philosophical games in the series. And considering it's the birth of the assassins that's pretty bad. They could have been fixed with a sequel but well...

i agree. the RPG assassins creed game werent even bad when i played it, most of the haters either those who only played some games mostly ezio trilogy or AC 3-Rogue, or they didnt pay attention to the story at all, its been there since the beginning, those fancy godly items were already in Assassins creed 1...

what ubisoft does wrong is making Origin, Valhalla and Odyssey under Assassins Creed franchise. imo these games shouldve been another franchise that still connected to the Assassins Creed universe like, The Hidden Ones, or etc

My point was that it’s likely he was exaggerating that he played all the games. He likely played a max of 3 of the games, and wasn’t a fan. There are 10+ games in the series, i very much doubt that he played and completed every single game, bought every single game, spent hundreds of hours in total, and found them all boring. It’s not realistic, is what I’m saying.

@@ItsDazYT that's fair but I can also understand why he finds them boring, to be fair Ubisoft games are very stale for anyone who aren't familiar with them. For example, if you aren't a big fan of the Assassins Creed series you probably won't be very into the gameplay mechanics since they're pretty average (other then parkour).

I think the reason for Valhalla’s success is because by the time the game was released, AC was a household name, more popular than ever. Plus, it’s an RPG game, which is a style that many love. I also predict Mirage will do better in sales compared to Valhalla if they choose to use RPG mechanics. Valhalla is a good game though, and is still pretty underrated.

Very interesting takes, I guess it comes down to personal preference. I think Ezio peaked in Brotherhood, and I think Cesare was a great villain.

Agree but remember. Each Character has their own unique roll, making the story very beautiful. If you need an assassin that’s good at assassinating go send Altair, Ezio, Arno, or so on. If you want someone to fight for you, send Alexios (or kassandra), Connor, Eivor and so on. If you want an assasin to roam around and search for any leaking send shay. If you want to conquer the water, get Edward. They all have their rolls. Perhaps Shay can also defend with his search and kill. Hey we also have street brawlers and Vikings. And A Demi God. But story wise, Ezio story is the longest considering that he has 3 games.

Freedom gives people the freedom to live Keeping dangers from people helps people live, because it keeps them safe. The line between being free and keeping things safe is so thin.
