What are some of your favourite mods, cars and tracks for Assetto Corsa?

Timing on this couldnt be any better, got my G920 last week and the shifter arrived today, now to dive into the world for Assetto Corsa. From one Aussie to another big thanks for the tutorial its really making getting started WAY easier.

Assetto Corsa with all the mods can’t be matched. So much free content it’s a petrol head’s dream. I was driving the new Pacific Coast in VR yesterday in a 90’s BMW M3 and populated the track with cars from the same era. Unbelievable experience. The cars, the sounds! Assetto Corsa runs brilliantly in both VR and triples too. 1440p triples maxed out graphics 144fps (RTX 3080). Love it! Keep up the good work, Will 💪🏻

This is a very well made video. Every time I decide I want to mod a game I mentally prepare myself for a decent amount of tedium so thanks for making such an easy to follow modding tutorial.

My godness this rig is made for perfection. In the first 10 seconds u can actually see cars on the far side side view mirror, how crazy is that.

Since we’re talking AC mods, I’d love see a quick race of RSS Formula Americas/Indycar on this rig! Just got it few days ago they look and sound fantastic!

I watched this video a while ago when I was dreaming about playing AC, I didn't have very good PC but I've just bought a new one and because of this video I knew exactly what to install and where to find it. Pretty straight forward process very well explained by you. Thank you for inspiring me. I spent yesterday driving around Shutoko, Trial Mountain from Gran Turismo and High Force in England. Incredible game and mod community. Some mods I would recommend for those of us who don't have really high end wheels are Wheel Check, LUT Generator and FFB Clip. These help to dial in the Force Feedback and make the game so much more playable on less advanced wheels like my Thrustmaster TMX. All these were found on RaceDepartment which is a great site I have spent hours on scrolling through mods.

i'm new to this assetto corsa world and watching all the awesome gameplay is a bit intimidating specially after knowing that all that awesomeness doesn't come in the box, Learning how to get that is overwhelming, but i found your tutorial is so clear and you make it so simple also inspiring, thank you!

Hi Will ...got a long one for yah ...lol! Do Leagues or small groups of friends usurp Live Lobbies by voting to kick one out in 30 seconds after joining while I'm picking a setup? My racing background is important to know so you don't say "I pissed someone off" ...lol.I'm 64 years old & love this retirement hobby. I've spent a small fortune on my "Rig & equipment & I'm in it for pleasure. So ...I'm a patient clean racer ...I never block faster drivers. That is like a "tripping penalty" in hockey ...if your faster I move over. My few words in chat is explaining that I apply the "slow in & fast out" turning method & good drivers will pass me as I do try to leave room. I get punted & rammed with a last place restart & never retaliate. Anger kills the fun this hobby provides & makes little sense ...& I too make mistakes & make contact once in a while. I always apologize in Chat. I'm also not too bad at it for an Old Fart ...I'll be a full 5 seconds off the leader in Qualifying but patient disciplined driving almost always nets me 5th or better. I sound like I'm "too good to be true" ...but this is how I race. So I doubt I offended anyone THAT bad in a previous race! Last night I joined a live lobby with 9 racers ...GT2 @ the Spa & was kicked out while doing a setup. I rejoined & got less than a lap in & kicked. I rejoined & placed 2nd during practice & was kicked. I rejoined & actually got Qualifying completed poling 2nd. ...got kicked! I rejoined & somehow STILL held 2 pole position & we started the race ...I took 1st after turn 1 & was kicked out while on Kemmel Straight. I know none of these racers & doubt I've ever offended any of them because I'm an older ...patient & clean racer. I don't use Mods or DLC cars nor am I a member of any racing League/Discord. So what is the policy here? Why did this occur?

Great video, Wil. I just bought a gaming laptop today, and am totally a PC numpty. I bought the laptop to almost exclusively play Assetto Corsa and its mods (also ACC, but that is almost a different game/community altogether ...), after seeing the various videos about the modding community and what is available. I've a family friend in Brighton (Melbourne) who is has TWO Ferrari F12s (one a TDF, believe it or not) and who is not short of a quid (obviously). Told him about your outfit. It'd be right up his alley, lol. If you'd like an intro (you can show him your outfit, and he could show you his, LOL), then I'd be happy to initiate. There could be business in it for you. I've downloaded content manager and i was about to download some mods on racedepartment however i cant find the UK tracks i need (for my real life racing!) I'm in search for Donnington Park, Snetterton and other UK tracks. Can i download mods from other sites that will work with content manager the same? any point in the right direction would be great, thanks! ANT

when I hover over and try to click the mods tab, it says that it isn't included in lite. is it a bug or can I just not install mods anymore

the custom shaders patch install isn't there? when i go on custom shaders patch it just says "no page selected" in small writing top left...help!

Before this, i was thinking to make a car review from games like assetto corsa... like a top gear or fifth gear... but i have limited time and team..and my english not very good. I think Boosted Media can start to do that now.. u guys have awesome rigs, awesome setups, and awesome team.. Maybe you can produce a car review for all cars in Assetto Corsa and all the best tracks to drive!!!

Hey great video thank you for publishing this. Do have a question though, I installed my mods and then downloaded them into content manager but they just aren't popping up on available or installed mods.

So I downloaded sol, put all 4 folders into common under steam. Closed out content manager and put it to .69. For some reason when I go to put it on sol it won’t pop up. Am I missing something ?

Sol 2.2.1 doesn't download as a zip folder as shown here, but rather it just appears in my downloads folder as an icon showing 7z in black and white. When I double click to open it a window appears asking how do I want to open this .7z file. Any ideas what the issue is?

Nice video again but if I may suggest. I think if you stop moving the mouse cursor so much when pointing out a setting, it because easier to see where you actually pointing at.

So I did everything as followed but when I open the content manager it doesn’t pick up the root folder automatically it’s not picking up the root folder location I don’t know what I can do

for some reason when intalling Sol with 7zip, I keep getting an error message preventing me from installing. has anyone else encountered this issue?

As i appreciate all CM did for the game - CSP, SOL and all the rest, though i have premium donate version, i gotta say that i just hate CM UI, i can`t find a thing there, everything is unintuitive, there`s too much text, brackets and everything - in one world CM is illegible. I just use it for updating sol and csp and then using standard AC UI for playing. BTW: Were u checkin ur assetto folder weight recently? Mine grow to freakin 900 GB.

Great tips, thanks! I installed SOL and in CSP I can choose between 2.0, 2.5 and 2.51. However, I don't get rain and snow. In Settings there is no Rain FX appearing between Particles FX and Reflections FX. Any guess what I've done wrong? Is there another mod I need to get the rain drops and the snow flakes? Many thanks.

Maybe you can point me in the right direction to get an answer…. I loaded Assetto Corsa, got the wheel, peddle set and shifter all configured. The monitor works perfectly. (Thanks for your videos, by the way, it’s what taught me how to build the sim rig I’ve got and love.) But once I started a drive, it loaded perfectly but I couldn’t start the car. I noticed that when I went to Options/Controls, it has the Input Method as an XBox 360 game pad, although I am running it on a PC. I can’t seem to find anywhere to change that. I’m guessing that might have something to do with my problem, but I’m new to all of this. Any ideas?

I've tried to use Sol (up to version 2.2.7 now) following the manual precisely, copying and overwriting the four folders in AC. When I go to the weather effects page, I have the choice to use default or live controller by xfab (and the text turns red) Sol is not there.

With Ai traffic ! So you downloaded the map from race department did you have too add Ai spline for that Ai traffic too work? Every map I go into there is no traffic on single player ? Would love too figure how too get it to work

Mods aren't supported in the free version. Might be nice to mention that up front $$$
