I grew up in the USA....went both to Assyrian and American churches..... I often did not understand much of Assyrian words but when I entered the Assyrian church I felt immediately the Holy Spirit, from the moment I entered the Assyrian church to the moment I left I could not stop crying...... entering Assyrian church is completely different from entering all other churches.....I've been to Greek orthidic, Catholics, Lutheran, many Christian churches....but none feels the same.... all I can say is Holy Spirit is poured on to me when I hear Assyrian prayer... I don't know why? could be that Lord Jesus Christ spoke this language.... I don't know why....all I know that these words are alive....truly alive they speak to me and yet many times I don't understand them but they do put smile in my face.... I see light in these words yet I don't understand many of them. God bless, you put smile in my soul, heart and in my face.

Maggie, maybe in your family tree you had an ancestor that came from the region of Iraq, Iran or Syria (this is where the Assyrian churches were mainly located in the early centuries). or maybe you had an ancestor who was a Jew who lived in one of those regions. in the early centuries there were many Persian Jews who became members of the Aramaic Assyrian church.

As an Assyrian , your comment made me so proud . Although many churches are against our church, but it doesn’t effect us at all . We have been fighting for our faith and religion for thousands years. We left our origin country our homes and everything back in Iraq since the masker in Iraq and some fled to Syria, Turkey , Iran and to all over the world just to keep our nation and our faith . And we are back on our feet stronger. Because if God is with you , Who can be against you . God bless you dear for the beautiful words 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

God bless you....now I can learn how to pray it myself...I always longed to learn how to pray in Assyrian,,,, when I was younger I had the opportunity to learn but I passed that opportunity, shame on me......now i regret it....Thank you for the interpretation.

قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُو رُءُوسِهِمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَا أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ If only thou couldst see when the guilty ones will bend low their heads before their Lord, (saying:) "Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard: Now then send us back (to the world): we will work righteousness: for we do indeed (now) believe." وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَآتَيْنَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ هُدَاهَا وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ مِنِّي لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ If We had so willed, We could certainly have brought every soul its true guidance: but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with Jinns and men all together." فَذُوقُوا بِمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَاءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَٰذَا إِنَّا نَسِينَاكُمْ ۖ وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْخُلْدِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ "Taste ye then - for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you - taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!" مرحبا يا اخت ، انا ابوكرستوفر مسيحي عراقي ومن الكنيسة الكاثوليكية الارامية. نحن والاشووريين شعب واحد وامة واحدة آراميةتختلف اسماءنا بحسب وجودنا في العراق وسوريا ولبنان وتركيا وايران، وتجمعنا لغة واحدة معاصرة اسمها السريانية وهي آرامية حديثة مشتقة من اللغة الام ولكنها الطف وارق من الفصحى الارامية التي تكلم بها اجدادنا الاشوريين والبابليين الكلدانيين والاموريين والاكديين ، ونحن لغة ودما اقرب الى الصابئة المندائيين وهم تسموا باسم دبانتهم وعبادتهم، هذا نحن السريان الشرقيين، اما السريان الغربيين، سريان سوريا وانطاكيا وموارنة لبنان المارونيين فهم اخوتنا في الدين والقومية وفي اللغة التي تكاد ان تندثر بسبب الزحف الاسلامي من كل صوب، عربي تركي كردي وايراني، بعد صمدنا وبقينا لسبعة الاف سنة في هذا الشرق اللعين نجد اليوم نفسنا نسجل الله لايگول أخر تاريخ لامتنا العريقة ولغتنا التي كانت لغة البلاط في قصور ومثقفي من هم مسلمين اليوم.

اختي العزيزة انا جلست وترجمت الى العربية ما يصلون به اخوتنا الاشوريين في هذا الڤديو، واردت انت وغيرك ممن يتكلمون العربية ومن كلامك يبدو انكي سوربة او اردنية، والله اعلم حسب اجتهادي، واود ان اوضح نقطة نحن الكلدان الاراميين العراقيين قرانا وبلداتنا موجودة على مقربة من قرى وبلدات العرب والمسلمين في الموصل وسهل الموصل، ونعرف ونتقن العربية اكثر من اخواننا الابطال الشجعان الاشوريين ،الذين حافظوا في جبالهم على جمال ونقاء لغة المسيح. واليك الترجمة.... بابن إدبشمايا= أبانا الذي في السماوات. قاديش بشينا= ليتقدس اسمك، المقدس في الطبيعة. مخشيخ لان هاووخ=اجعلنا انقياء ابرار. صپايي=انقياء ابرار. صافي كرستيان=مسيحيين. (2) آتيا مالكووتخ= يأتي مالكوتك ومشبخ بوركاتوخ=واغدق علينا بركاتك. آل(عل)بنونيه إذعيتووخ=على ابناء كنيستك. ونطروهن= واحرسهم،احفظهم ،انطرهم، إِبسنيووتخ=بعدلك ورحمتك.
