If Michiru Yamane were to work on a new Castlevania game, she would make songs in this style that we know so much about. The truth is that you managed to replicate it very well, and I think he's going to do well in the game you're working on.

i appreciate the compression done on the actual game. hearing this with little emulator bloops hit my nostalgia, but it's such a great track and the game's been fun to play co-op with a bud

Nice! Noob question: will PSG 3 channel be used for sound effects? Is it sufficient?

no they'll most likely use the xgm pcm channels

PSG 3 limits how the Noise channel works, so it's not a very useful channel at all. If you look at the others videos you will see how common PSG 3 is ignored. For the sound effects it depends on the sound driver, if it is XGM then it will use the other software mixed PCM channels for them, otherwise it will work like pretty much every game that temporarily mutes a channel to use it for the sound effect and then goes back to play the music when the sound is done.

@@Weeppiko Very true. PSG 3 affects PSG 4 (Noise) and if it isn't muted then we're stuck with the standard 3 pitch white noise of PSG channel 4 with no way to make a periodic duty cycle hi-hat or any other superior sound.
