I got the key fob to a new Aston Martin V12 Vantage and hustled it into the hills for this quick video to share the sights and sounds of this amazing car.
In my opinion, this car strikes the perfect balance of super car performance, stunning good looks, excellent build quality and every day live-ability.
Retail price: $182,000. My only question to anyone who has the means to get this car would be..."Why don't you own one yet?" It is that good!
This car was treated to a Flowmaster exhaust system so that it can be used for a video game project and sounds extra special in this trim. Turn up the speakers and enjoy!

Thank you for the best review of this car is have ever seen. By not putting any music over the glorious howl of the 12 piece symphony that lives under the bonnet, you created an experience as intoxicating as it looks to drive that beast of a car. Please make more reviews like this one.

@Shorty111R Thanks man! Yeah this car lacks the ultimate performance that the Lambo Aventador or Ferrari 458 has but it's cheaper than both and has more live-able looks and every day drive ability. Plus the around town / freeway cruising was pure luxury and then it scared the hell out of me in the mountains...absolute perfection.

You need to be on Top Gear US. The quality of product you're able to churn out by yourself is both staggering and inspiring. Love it, as usual. When's that Z28 vs V10 Maverick vs V12 Vantage review coming? Love the sound of that car, it has a faint, subdued sound similar to Lambo's V12s, but with a much angrier snarl at the edge. Like Aston's V8 Vantage. Very very cool. That's a stupidly rare car, lucky you got to drive it!

Fantastic review. Got my adrenaline going. Among the most beautiful and desirable cars available IMHO. As mentioned, it's understated for what it is, and that's what makes it so desirable. The 458 is gorgeous, but it's too much of an attention grabber. The Aston is an exotic that's pure class. Some really nice curvature up there.

You could ABSOLUTELY drive this car daily. What I neglected to say in the video is that all of the driving in the mountains was done in "sport" mode which stiffens up the suspension quite a bit. In "standard" mode the car is very comfortable. My only nit-picky complaint would be that the stock Pirelli PZero tires transfer a bit of road noise to the cabin but very acceptable. If you lived in a city with alot of traffic...the automatic offered on the V8 S is the way to go. Thanks so much!

@RGNHD I don't know how to get in to rally racing (if you figure out a cheap way, let me know too) but to start car reviewing just takes a video camera, a little time and some practice. Once you get a few cars done it's easier to find new cars to drive. Good Luck! Send links so I can see.

Jason, could you please teach the guys at Everyday Driver a thing or ten about recording engine sounds properly? They use the same road as you do for reviews, but all of their clips of them recording engine notes are just "whoooooooshhhhh". I've rewatched this video and the SRT8 392 about 4 times just for the sounds. Love the Mustang build btw! Looking forward to an update vid

Holy shit! I've never heard an exhaust note here on youtube that made my spine tingle like that. I would probably lose all bowel control if I had the chance to hear this thing in person. Thumbs way up!!!

I own an A M Vantage V8. You don't need any special exhaust, you just need to remove fuse f22 and the exhaust flap stays open at all times. Even the V8 sounds EXTRAORDINARY and it's free & done in 1 minute

As is the case with the car in this video...get two Flowmaster DBX series mufflers and have an exhaust shop custom install them. Then, shoot video of it and post to youtube and let us check out your ride!

@6SpeedSilverado Nothing is wrong with Flowmaster...I have one on my truck and one on my wife's Prius! You just don't hear about Flowmasters on hi-end super cars but, after enjoying this car, maybe we should.

I don't know where that car is anymore. From what I remember, it was the DBX series mufflers installed but when in sport mode that car had valves that opened the exhaust up to straight through.

@6SpeedSilverado Flowmaster =aftermarket cheap exhausts that drone. Stock exhausts on these cars are typically dual-mode exhausts, such as on my Evora. Sport mode =loud. Normal mode=civil. For a luxury sports car, loud is not always good.

Your video reviews are way better than those nit-picky Brits on Top Gear. You look at the cars from a real hot rodder's perspective who may actually [gasp] drive the car on real roads and understands that each car has a unique style - and doesn't have to drive just like a Ferrari to be acceptable.

jochen meyer It's a single clutch rwd manual. The GT3 RS is a whole .2 seconds faster to 60 with a manual. Put you in a shopping cart tied to the bumper at full throttle and talk slow😂😂
