I actually think that they compliment each other just the way they both are. I wouldn't add the glue leaf to the black background canvas. It is absolutely stunning without it.

I Really love them both...I can't decide 😉! I think I'll have to try them both😁. I just finished my Tree of Life in polymer clay. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to get it in the oven. It's huge...about 16×16 inches. And I still have to paint a background for it. Too bad all life's delemas were this fun! Thanks for always inspiring me, AB! Wow! I think they are both amazing - if I had to chose it would be the all colour one - the shadowing did it! Lifts the leaf up, but its all a matter of personal choice. I hope to try this soon 😊👏

I’d use a light brown glaze of paint for the background. That way it doesn’t kill the color in the background, but pushes it back so that the leaf is the focal point.

I'd love to see the black one with the leaf overlay. The bkack has great contrast, which draws me to it. But I must say the colorful one glorifies autumn. Both are beautiful!

Absolutely ❤❤❤ this technique. Thing is I had just bought a bunch of glitter glue sticks for doing almost the same thing. How neat you posted this. It was the removing it part I was hesitant on and hoping I wouldn’t break any glue parts. This is gorgeous. 🥰. A good project for the grandkids to try too. 💕🥰💕 I love both versions but the black looks so fantastic I think that’s my fav.
