Americans use both 'jam' and 'jelly'. The two words don't mean the same thing here, the difference lies in the consistency of the product, which also distinguishes them from 'preserves'.
@citizenhal9 жыл бұрын
In Britain the usage is swapped. What Americans call jelly, we call jam, and what they call jam, we call jelly.
@citizenhal9 жыл бұрын
Or at least I think it's like that. Americans have jello as well, but I don't know what that is. Probably like British jelly but I haven't googled it yet.

@slickmcwilly9 жыл бұрын
Sorry to be kinda pedantic, but actually the difference between jelly, jam, and preserves are what they're made with. American Jelly is made with just the juice of the fruit. Jam is made with juice and some of the fruit but doesn't have any seeds or anything in it. Preserves are made with the entire fruit, and have things like seeds and the skin in it.

You can go buy these dried fruits and astronaut ice cream as novelties, and I think they have some of this stuff up there in the ISS as snacks.. but the real foods are sealed in these foodsaver-type bags to which they hook up a hose, so a little machine can inject a pre-measured amount of hot or cold water into the bag. Barry and Larry make the best collab episodes with Ashens. Perhaps Ashens should also find some Harry and Carry sidekicks?

Mom would dish the Neapolitan ice cream out herself by scraping the scoop across all three to make sure the vanilla wasn’t left behind all alone! You do know that they never really did make dehydrated ice cream for the astronauts right, it’s never been in space! Keeping Spacey guys we love you acting (maybe, this could be your normal selves) goofy for our KZfaq pleasure!

Jam and jelly both exist in the US, but they're two different things. Jelly is merely fruit juice and pectin as a thickener while jam also includes purred fruit.

I liked the neapolitan icecream I got when I went to the NASA place in Florida.

Actually, the astronauts aboard the ISS have pretty good food considering they can only get resupplied every three months. And too add, astronaut ice cream isn't a real thing in space, it's too crumbly and the particles will get caught up in sensitive equipment. There was an incident with crumbly food on one of the earlier apollo missions, where one of the astronauts snuck a sandwich up with him in his pocket. The crumbs went everywhere but they were lucky the crumbs didn't do anything but get in the way.

Barry immediately realised his mistake when he said about the pink and brown. His face to whoever was off camera was hilarious.

Let us all come to appreciate that the space in Stuart's beard looks like a piece of the Triforce.
