Thank you for this testing. Everyone keeps saying that the wired backhaul is the best option, and that is obvious - but the point of a lot of folks who needs these mesh systems is the fact that they also aren't able to wire substantially and a wired backhaul is not possible on where they need to place these router/node. I am glad you tested it all in real world situations. This is probably one of the most informative vids out there on the ET12.

In San Jose, CA USA, we bought two (2) two (2) packs of the Zen WiFi ET12. We have one (1) Tower used as the Router and one (1) as an Ethernet backhaul AP Node. They work great. We're having issues trying to add another two (2) pack set as two (2) AP Nodes. When trying to add either of the two (2) as AP Nodes, I get flashing red LED's on both units. I can't get these to be recognized or set up as nodes # 2 & #3. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am always having problem with it and I have to restart it in order to have it work again. The software is up to date. Now I am traveling and it disconnect again and I can’t connect to my home devices. Is there a way to restart it again remotely by mobile App?

Great video, I have 1G fiber internet, Right now I have a Asus GT-AX 11000 pro for gaming and Wifi, I am looking to another Router, I was think of getting another Asus Ax11000 pro, Or 2 Asus zenwifi pro ET12, Which setup do you think will give me faster speeds with more courage?

I just wish I could set the settings to wpa3 security without 90% of the devices throwing a fit

FYI you can't get Merlin firmware for the ET12, he only makes firmware for specific models.

im having some issues - I just got ET12 pack of 2 - set everything up with static ips (as i have issues if i dont) - ethernet down on all devices is about 890mbps DOWN but over 980mbps UP -my isp said it should be lot higher on the down connection but find no faults) - BUT wifi is the BIG issue. 5ghz or 6ghz my s22, laptop, PC on wifi (ethernet disabled or unplugged for example) MAX 300mbps DOWN 780mbps UP - does anyone know WHY? - ethernet is obviously working fine being over 900mbps (2.5gbps port to 2.5gbps port) but i dont understand why wifi6 is capping to 300mbps download for every wifi device but upload is full speed *note: i do NOT have ANY QoS on as that made it worse - this is default out of the box except i added over 36 devices static IP addresses (for my cctv and IoT equipment to work on the 2.4ghz band - all separated NOT dual/Triband - as i can never set them up as it puts my phone to 5ghz or 6ghz and i cant set up 2.4 ghz without separating the bands) but every test, including this video show over 600mbps down for wifi? why cant i get over 300mbps on any wifi device download but over 700mbps upload? I upgraded to e12 from the mini cd6 due to entire drop out issues both wifi and ethernet - this is FAR better and i not had once single drop out at all// but im having same/similar speed issues on all wifi (i have 2.4ghz and 5ghz and 6ghz all on separate bands and using 6ghz backhaul as i dont have tools to drill through walls for ethernet backhaul yet, its about 40-50ft away and signal is "great" so its not losing much signal)
