Great video, I have 1G fiber internet, Right now I have a Asus GT-AX 11000 pro for gaming and Wifi, I am looking to another Router, I was think of getting another Asus Ax11000 pro, Or 2 Asus zenwifi pro ET12, Which setup do you think will give me faster speeds with more courage?

WRONG! The ET12 has a 6ghz band. The XT12 does not!

I am not very experienced with computers but wanted to know if you can break out the 3 bands so that you can connect to the one you want. My smart devices need 2.4 and I will need to see 2.4 in order to connect to it. Thanks

Yes you can ... Just make sure the "Smart Connect" feature is turned-off in the settings. And then assign each of the bands a separate SSID. Be advised though if you use the wireless backhaul option between the nodes you must choose to "unhide" the SSID for the 5GHz-2 band if you want the ability to connect clients to it. This will of course reduce both your clients and backhaul connection speeds on that band since the two functions must share the same band.

Thanks for the video... But can you verify this review is really for the "ZenWiFi XT12" as the title of the video says? Since you mentioned it has the "6 GHz band", that would actually make it its lookalike the "ET12" not the XT12.

Very good and detailed review. I have this system, and the setup instructions suggest that the router and node be within 3 meters of each other, which is not that far of a distance. You mention in your video that the router (1st unit) is in the basement and the node (2nd unit) is on the ground floor. How far apart, in meters, are the two units in your configuration?

Based on your review I ordered XT12 two pack, and hoped it would be better than Linksys Atlas Pro 6, however sadly range-wise it just does not deliver as you claimed in your video and I am returning it!
