A tip for your future video making. Please show which screws go where. You need a direct down on camera view (like from your eyes) to see where exactly screws are, and which screws went where. I came to your video to figure out where one specific screw went, and I cannot, because you do not show the actually screws or where you are removing them from. Yes, I can assume. I have been disassembling laptops for awhile now and took it apart with no help, however, my issue is that I left it apart for a couple weeks while I was waiting on a part to be delivered from china. Now that I have the part and done the repair, I am trying to reassemble the laptop and thus my problem.

Have you tried looking up the Service Manual for this laptop ? I'm sure all the parts list is in there. 🤔

2 thicker screws go on the hinge side, second ones in. 3 short screws at edge of CD tray + 1 under HDD tray. If I recall correctly all the rest are the same thickness an length.

7:01 Do you remember how the screen cable connects to the motherboard? I can't figure out exactly how to disconnect it.

I have in fact been inside one of these machines in the past 48 hours; it's just a simple connector, push on each side and it'll slide out. cable faces to the fan exhaust when reconnecting.

Can you tell me how to find the screen inverter? Mine seems to be broken, but I cannot find it. Usually it would be under the bezel at the lower part of the screen AFAIK. Is it located in the other half of the laptop? If yes, where?

This model uses an LED screen, so therefore does not need an inverter

Hi, I got one second hand about 2-3 months back in pieces & reassembled it just recently. 😊🙄 Is the maximum RAM capped at only 8 GB (PC3-10600) or can it handle even 16 GB (i.e. PC3-12800) ? What about CPU upgrade ? Is the i7 2670QM really the maximum or... ? i7 2860QM/2960XM maybe ? 😑 Thanks &... Best Regards,

Edit: I upgraded the CPU to the i7 2670QM CPU & is running with 2x 8 GB DDR3 PC3-10600 1333 MHz RAM. I also put in a Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB SSD. 😉😎💪

No. The motherboard won't support it since it is older

no w i know how to clean my laptop fan and i am not doing it. it looks too hard. i would probably forget to assemble it back. anyways thank you for your effort. thankss :)

Let your local lappy shop earn their money. No regrets. Disconnecting/reconnecting ribbon cables... Arrrrgh... Don't DO IT.!
