I recently updated to the Screenpad 2.0 software. The new functions are nice, but I'm missing the option to just use the Screenpad as a second monitor while still having the touchpad working as a touchpad. It really bothers me that this isn't possible with the new software.

Updated mine to the 2.0 version by using the screenpad driver 2.0 easy update process via ASUS website. Original screenpad was so glitchy, and this update seems to work perfectly! Thank you ASUS!

I need some help, please... I have the ZenBook13 UX334F and after my last Windows update I have lost all the software of the touchpad - i.e. the ScreenPad. So now, other than it being a touchpad and 2nd monitor, it's of no use - and a costly touchpad... I have posted in Asus forums, on several support websites, have tried to have an online chat with Asus but noone replies, even got an IT tech around to try fix. We have reinstalled ScreenPad 2.0, several times. Tried that "BIOS" setting that Asus support advises. No success - and it is still not working. And a few weeks ago the laptop sound also stopped working, despite Windows saying the drivers are updated and "device is working properly". Headset works fine with bluetooth. Can anyone please assist, it's been 3 months now and I am so frustrated! Could it be the Windows update's fault...? and what else can I try?

I am from the Netherlands and I don't have access to the Screenpad 2.0 software. Is this locked for everyone in the Netherlands or the EU? I can't get the software for even the basic things like the calendar or the weather app, also not the Spotify player. Can anyone help me?

Mostly yes, there are versions of them that have the capability of the touchscreen(main display). I saw them on Asus Website. But in Germany, amazon didn't offer them. Also when I cannot flip the laptop to the tablet(mode), I cannot use the main screen. I use Zenbook Pro 14.

The clicking function on my ScreenPad is defective, won’t let me left-click 95% of the time so I’m unable to drag and drop anything, highlight text, etc. Just got the computer today, returning it tomorrow. I was looking forward to this feature so it’s a shame that I’ll have to go for my second choice Lenovo Yoga C940.

I don't think so, but you can use the shortcut [Windows] + [.]. Not what you are asking for, but I maybe it helps.

@@TheGuracao appreciate the response. Already knew that. I was thinking about a special screen pad emoji picker. Not available. I ended up getting the zenbook without the screen, it's a total useless gimmick. The one I got has amazing battery life, with an extra, useless screen I'm sure it would've been much less.

@@gnuui5376 Both the TouchPad and the second Screen work, you might have some issues with orientation (you can fix them easily). Also, you need to install distributions with latest kernels, Because the hardware of this laptop is also new!

After the upgrade it doesn't work anymore. If I press F6 I can't see the options on screen anymore and I cant't see or install any app. I can only drag and drop to the screenpad and use it as a mini second monitor

@@quelcontinuovociare7718 I have the same problem. Please see my post of today. No help from Asus either - seems if you "upgrade to ScreenPad 2.0" you cannot go back, even if 2.0 doesn't work. So now you sit with a very expensive touchpad and a mini screen. And there is still no solution for this from Asus. Which is ridiculous!

It was awesome the version 1.0 of the screenpad, everything was perfect, and then I read about the 2.0, and I got excited. When I upgraded it, it did not work, and when I made it work, it was trash. And Asus cannot let us downgrade it.

Hi there. I think I have the same problem... Please see my post above. I also upgraded to ScreenPad 2.0 after Windows updated as well. Now, no use of the touchpad other than being a mini monitor. At least you made 2.0 work - I can't. Please share with me how you got it to work?

@@NatalieDelport01 It is not working exactly, it is the same as you, the mini monitor works well, and the other function works half of original one. It turns on correctly and freeze when I try to use any app, and by the way, I can't download any other app but those that come with it. I just uninstalled ScreenXpert to use it as a monitor, the touchpad function is useless for me now.

i guess thats a normal thing. if yours still black after the stand-by just press the fn+f6 change it to disable touchpad and then reopen it. thats the only solution. this kind of problem is expected tbh. its like for some monitor for a desktop too

@@Nuuf I find that ridiculous. My issue is that if I leave it in touchpad mode and return from Stand-by, the screenpad often wakes up showing a dark light but without turning the screenpad or second screen on. So it is showing that there is energy connected with this dark (gameboy type of) light and i need to connect screen and disconnect. Dont have this issue when i leave it on screenpad all the time, but then it consumes energy.

Screenpad 2.0 is the biggest disappointment after the update. Screenpad 1.0 was so much better in terms of functionality and usability. ASUS needs to have an option to revert back or have another update with functions similar to 1.0

Has anyone been able to revert their ScreenPad to 1.0 after installing 2.0? Mine is still not functional. So I basically have a mini 2nd screen. No apps at all on it. And I really need that calculator. And Asus is not responding to my emails :-(

Natalie Delport hi what laptop do you have? I have a zenbook 15 coming and i think its just on screenpad 1.0. I think it only has the numpad which is a bummer. I shouldn't update it to screenpad 2.0 should i? Or have u found a solution already?

@@markilin7141 Hi.I have the ZenBook 13 UX334F. I would highly recommend that you speak to Asus first and get a guarantee about upgrading to ScreenPad 2 before you replace your ScreenPad 1. Mine did come with the full functionality on ScreenPad 1 so you should get all those features as well, including the calculator, which was a huge drawing card for me - and I now don't have that any more :-(. Do not upgrade it as there is no way to go back to ScreenPad 1 once you have upgraded, even if 2.0 does not work. I think that Asus made a huge mistake releasing ScreenPad 2.0 without fully educating their users on the consequences of not being able to uninstall 2.0 and also that fact that you cannot revert back to ScreenPad 1.0. So now, I only have a 2nd screen and fancy touchpad with a photo that I can insert. Damn expensive feature! Hope this helps.

All the apps for screenpad (spotify, calendar for example) are gone now. There is no calendar, weather app, spotify or different apps. Also if I click a shortcut in the screenpad, that app starts always on the screenpad.

you can press f6 button until it lights up in either traditional touchpad mode or is disabled alltogether. I personally prefer using the traditional touchpad mode until i need a second screen.

O Screenpad 2.0 é a maior decepção após a atualização. O Screenpad 1.0 foi muito melhor em termos de funcionalidade e usabilidade. A ASUS precisa ter uma opção para reverter ou ter outra atualização com funções semelhantes à 1.0
