If you're new here, I'm a former beauty/makeup KZfaqr who has transitioned to reactions because I love experiencing new things with y'all. I'm a definite ARMY (one of the non-toxic ones, I promise), but I'm so excited to discover other KPOP groups as well. I have plenty of love to go around. ATEEZ's songs tend to have double meanings, often a meaning within the story and one applicable to listeners. At first glance, Inception seems to be about a romantic love, but the intention relates to your phrase at the end that all of these groups are pursuing their dreams--they've discovered their passion (music, dance, performing) and now the dream of being an artist, of being the person they dreamed they could be, haunts them, so they can't stop chasing after that dream. There's a bit of symbolism to Hongjoong running down the hall and jumping into his dreaming self which wakes the others from their dreams. Hongjoong applied to KQ before they were considering creating a group. They contacted him about a year later to see whether he was still interested in producing. KQ didn't have a trainee program, and Hongjoong was the lone trainee for some time before they began adding more trainees. He was the beginning of ATEEZ. When the company later was getting input on who should be the leader, Seonghwa said something like if Hongjoong isn't the leader there wouldn't be any meaning to the team. It was Hongjoong's lonely attempt at making his dream reality that ultimately resulted in all of the members dreams becoming a possible reality. So in the end, where he stands alone, it's a kind of symbolic flashback to his early days at KQ. Seonghwa is singing the lower part of the harmony while Jongho is singing the melody in the high note. Because Jongho's voice is so powerful, it's difficult to hear Seonghwa, but his voice is more noticeable in some of the lives. In their tour in early 2022, they performed a special version of Inception that I love. I'll respond with a link to a fan filmed video (I don't want my comment deleted if, YT doesn't like the link). If you like something more set to rock you should listen to Guerrilla, you'll surely like it, it's his comeback before Bouncy And the high note of Inception is done by Jongho and Seonghwa at the same time, Seonghwa can also do high notes but it's not that often heard, an example is Utopia, Seonghwa does the part of the high notes

Thank you so much for this reaction!! Inception is also one of my favorites, if not my favorite Ateez song. For the ending note, it was actually Jongho and Seonghwa together!! In the dance practice you can see Seonghwa mouthing that note as well. Also, in the live performance of this song you can see both Jongho and Seonghwa hit the note. I also would love to see more Ateez reactions :) I'm so glad you're enjoying Ateez so far!

Yeah, Ateez don't really do love songs, Inception is about one's goal/dreams. It references the movie Inception a lot.

I totally feel what you said in the end When I am stuck to a group I tend to not really wanna find out much about other groups because of the point you mentioned but yeah, it doesn’t mean you loose interest in your ‘fav‘ group just because you get to know others so I’m ready for this journey 💪🏻😂🫶🏻

so don't be worry about reacting to this early believe me u will love a lot of their songs or u will love all of them and as long as u will restart from the begging so i wont recommend anything but i know u will love all of their songs not only the titles tracks but the b sides too also i recommend the ultimate guide to ateez it is the best one

I'm so happy this lived up to your expectations. I love Inception, but I will tell you now that I am CONFIDENT they will outdo this for you, especially if you listen to B-sides. In one of my groupchats we were just discussing the fact tha as amazing as the title tracks are, in almost every case the b-sides are actually better. I do strongly recommend you do full album listens, even if you don't do them onscreen/for reaction.

I agree with others who are talking about the B-sides and album listens. They touch so many genres of music, someone will find something they will like. I personally love songs like "Light", "Turbulence", "Still Here" and "Precious", etc. By listening to all of the songs at least once, you'll get an idea of what Ateez is capable of.

Atiny help me - at the 18:14 ish mark, the gray haired dancer on their knees - who is that? - I really loved this dance practice, and the song is growing on me. The dance though is so intricate, loved how they hit each beat within it, or when they split off into 2 sections and do a part... but that gray haired dancer keeps catching my eye and i'm still learning names haha
