If you're new here, I'm a former beauty/makeup KZfaqr who has transitioned to reactions because I love experiencing new things with y'all. I'm a definite ARMY (one of the non-toxic ones, I promise), but I'm so excited to discover other KPOP groups as well. I have plenty of love to go around. Yes Vata used the say my name move and said he came up with it, ateez and their choregrapher called him out :) My fave is hala hala, but promise got me into them

yes the say my name move was plagiarized ! wooyoung was the one who constantly called it out and now all of ateez and the original choreographer anze (who also uploaded a video about it) say that that move is their most iconic move and defines "ateez"

I definitely recommend for live perfomances watching Desire live from their XR Show! Also I can't wait for Utopia on the next album it's probably my favorite when you get to it you should definitely check out the live perfomance of it from their Seoul concert the vocals are on another level

5:04 yes that is yeosang! :) and 5:51 yes wooyoung starts the song! niceee 7:47 yes it was san ur doing great! (7:53 that was yunho, and seonghwa sings right after wooyoung at the start of the song 2:56! hopefully that helps to tell them apart a tad) also fully agree with the mullet i also live in the south and hate them but hongjoong honestly makes it his own he looks so good with it somehow

You said it at the end but I love the dance practices for this album. I highly recommend you react to them! Glad you liked the album. HALA HALA is one of my all time favorite Ateez songs.

i am an atiny for 3 years now and i still get confused by seonghwa and yeosang voices san and seonghwa too sometimes the rest i can recognize their voices without any problem believe me here we don't even know what mullet means but hongjoong he looks amazing with it and when u get use to the fandom u will know hongjoong looks great in every hair style he does i think its a confident thing as u said

U will need to always expect something from their choruses.. 😂 We usually thought in chorus it will go more high beat but not with Ateez. Expect the difference 😅

Good to see that you‘re enjoying their music so far :) Personally wise it‘s definitely not my favourite album but there are still really good songs & their choreography is always amazing 💫

You're doing well on their voices. Yeosang is definitely more of a baritone. Even so, his voice is also on the light side and textured--it's almost feathery (4:58, 15:04). You described Wooyoung's voice well too. His is also light and the tone is almost childlike/youthful (2:51). Yunho majored in vocal in high school. He tends to sing in a pure tone without a lot of flourishes (19:22). San and Seonghwa both sing in a style that sounds like a cry. San's is more subtle, chesty, and a little gritty (14:10) while Seonghwa tends to lean more into cry and rarely has a gritty sound (2:57, 12:55). All three have a good sized vocal range, though they tend to sing high notes in falsetto. Casual fans often think all the high notes are Jongho and the low notes are Mingi, but that's not true. For example, in Say My Name some of the low notes are done by Yunho (13:19), and in Promise some of the high notes are San (19:40).

Guerrilla- it’s more like a rock style ✨ I suggest reacting to the full albums in order ✨❤️ Say my name is just a great song, it’s sad that is underrated 😭 i love it honestly

I may have missed it if you mentioned it in the video, but just curious why you chose not to react to the dance practice videos for these songs. Hala Hala dance practice is so amazing (San!), and Say My Name dance practice is also really great -- Wooyoung's "Ha!" moment towards the end that makes some of the members break character (mostly Mingi, Yunho, Seonghwa). This video is 8 months old, so I'm sure you've watched them by now, but on the off chance you haven't, I recommend you do. 🙂

I didn't realize I hadn't reacted to these dance practices. I think I reacted to performances of these songs over on Patreon, but I can definitely do a video for these dance practices

Thanks for reacting to Ateez. They're a great group. One suggestion: Maybe don't pause the vid just to say things like: you like somebodies hair. Its ok to wait and comment on those things after the MV is over. That way you can show respect to the artist's work and share your personal views afterwards.

I appreciate your suggestion, but I would definitely recommend you check out my other Ateez videos where I don't pause a single time during my first viewing of the mvs. I think I even said in this video that I don't typically pause so much and in my very first Ateez video I explained my reaction style (not pausing and letting a video play out during the first viewing).

Of course everyone can have their own opinion, but to pause in an video has nothing to do with not having respect. She's doing so great and it's her channel so she can pause when ever she want, what she normally didn't do and also in this reaction it was really that often. I think reaction to videos and trying to learn the members and their voices and the meaning of the songs shows really a lot of respect for the artists work.
