It’s too distracting on top for me as a dmd but it does look nice I wish they would make one that replaces the legends marquee with a retrofit

I'm not a fan of this Bit Pixel added on and would much rather buy the back box from Buystuff store. However I love it on my ALU. I purchase and added a power multi port USB hub in the back behind the rear cover of the ALU so I don't have a bunch of cables in front of the ALU. My bit pixel turns off when i push the power button on the control deck. And I have my Aimtack light gun sensor connected to the power multi port usb as well. And added a mini USB four port hub connected into the 2.0 usb on the front for the light gun and my flash drive to it. Thanks for the great review.

Mine arrived today, two things shuts off when the ALP is turned off. Also a small switch above the USB port I can’t tell what it does. Definitely looks cool

I too wish we could replace that Legends Pinball sign on front. It takes away from the game being played and there is no need for it. We know what company we bought from. Tacky.

It's a bummer the port to plug this in is in the front. I want my ALP to look clean.

To make this even better, they should have made it mount under the back box, then have the back box mount on top of the light. How sweet would that be? Eh, it's an idea anyway..

This product isn’t for me. I have a topper already, and I’m not sure of the need for a marquee on a pinball machine in general. I’m also really not a fan of the brackets being visible on the front of the machine. Would’ve been better having you mount it to the top, or maybe a bracket to the back of the machine.

As an aside, kudos PDubs for specifically mentioning that this is a product that was provided by the manufacturer. KZfaq content creators posting reviews should be doing this as a condition of their accounts but many do not. Also: to the left of the PDubs Pillow above^, I'm thinking that purple piece of swag is actually a Loft mug and not recommended for those hoping to get a good night's rest. :)

Definitely cool looking but if it can’t turn off and all it does is display a name, not sure it’s worth more than $45.

At games needs to work on solenoids for their pinball machine, not this. The stock exciters are ok if you are a casual player. But real vpin needs solenoids.

You really do great reviews. I appreciate all the little details you talk about. I like these things. I feel it is worth it for "eye candy" in your arcade at the NOD price point. Is it for everybody, no, but nothing is for everybody. You simply laid it out and showed what it can do currently. You are always honest and you mention that it was sent to you. I actually bought another original bitpixel (the bigger one) on NOD day because I want to replace the standard light up marquee on my Multicade that runs coinops and or hyperspin off of a PC in the cabinet. Hopefully I can figure out how to retro fit that in there. I figure even if I have to run it off the SD card and set the marquee for the current game I could at least do that. There is something about these LED marquees that really look great, colorful and very "8 bit ish". I dig them. Thanks as always PDUBS!

As a marquee I have zero interest. When it becomes a dmd I'll take another look. How haven't you blacked out that Legends Pinball? I love that Atgames comes with addon products. But that $300 is absolutely ludicrous.

The concept is pretty cool but since an LCD variation seems inevitable, the LED version is less compelling. I'm guessing that AtGames has productized the Pixelcade specifically for their systems?

I think these LED displays are really cool looking, but FOR the pinball cabinet, I'm putting that money into a replacement back box. I could see myself wanting this kind of display somewhere else in my emulation setup though. I'd kinda love a marque for my non-cabinet setup.

Hey PDubs! Looks good and most of it's setup makes sense form a design standpoint. BUT, my highly personal and totally subjective thought is that the way that it mounts would drive me batty. While it's clearly easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy for 99% of owners to install using the existing screw holes, those clips that hold the sign in place really muck-up the clean look of the back box. I certainly don't blame AtGames for going down that route, makes total sense, but I'd have to find a way to mount it to the back. Mounting it to the back MIGHT also cut out the screen glare?! Could be easy enough to test by simply moving it back from the edge!

I finally picked up a Legends pinball machine after finding a Sam's Club return with a pretty beat up backbox for super cheap (around $40!). I'm still debating what to do with the backbox - as I said the one I gave is in pretty rough shape. It stinks this only works with the standard backbox not not the more custom versions. Probably unavoidable, but still kind of annoying.

I can’t believe AtGames still hasn’t fixed the broken haptics, they were selling broken table packs for NOD. How is that acceptable? I was going to order one of these pixel displays for NOD only if they fixed the broken tables. That ship has sailed and I won’t even use my ALP until they fix this. Hopefully they fix the broken tables by next NOD but I have no hope at this point.

Looks pretty dumb to me, Why would the not make it the exact same size as the already present AtGames LEgend marquee? Like wgho wants a double marquee? Everyone already hates the installed marquee so here was a great opportunity to add an upgrade to get rid of that marquee and put something usefuil in its place! As it stands I jsuit dont see the point of it!

Pinball topper usually have more an arch to it. It's over priced and did it all wrong but hey they tried. We know it's the same components as BitPixel. They are such full of shit.
