Thank you for ALL of your videos. I need Doug on speed dial. You should offer a monthly membership type deal, so ppl can contact and get diagnostic help and/or step by step repair instructions. The videos help tremendously, but, I have an 07 Range Rover full size 4.2L SC, and I don’t find very many videos on my particular Land Rover. I don’t trust the local dealership and any other “European or Land Rover/Jaguar certified” mechanics are a waste of time and money. I have Maintained diagnosed and repaired myself based on tons of research and KZfaq videos. And I know more than any “certified” mechanic, and I still don’t know a fraction of what they should. I I’m in desperate need of somebody who’s actually knowledgeable help, and would love it if you had a Membership type option. But in the meantime could Doug please do more videos on my particular model? Specifically, diagnostic and repairs related to vacuum leaks, and random misfires on all cylinders causing reduced engine performance and stalling out. Those would be much appreciated:)

Middle section with cabin filter look like from BMW e53 x5….it shows some signs of BMW owning LR in years of development of L322.

Can the older model bmw engine and the 4.4 naturally aspirated, can they fit in this vehicle? What other engine can fit into this 2007 model. Thank u.

Hey Mr Doug. I started the engine on my 08 range rover sport supercharged. And from now where I had squicking sounds in the engine compartment. What do you think may be coursing this.

strongman Airman in the morning when you start the engine specially on a wet or cold day you will get a squeak from the belt this goes after you start driving and it’s caused by moisture on the belt

Hi Doug My brother has a 2012 supercharged. He was on the highway on the way out of town for vacation and the vehicle started acting weird so he got it back home. He thought it was the timing chain because he had it replaced two years ago. Anyway he left it for two weeks until he got back. He had it towed to halifax nova scotia to the dealer. Before he had the vehicle towed he had to drive it out to the highway where the flat deck truck picked it up. The vehicle started right away so he got it onto the truck and into the dealer. Next day the dealer calls and tells him the engine is done and it will be $26000 to replace. What are your thoughts? Any suggestions? I know people reported problems with this year of engine but theres hardly any kilometers on it. Thank you Paul

Hi PH, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. We're sorry that this happened. If it is out of warranty, maybe try reaching out to an independent Land Rover mechanic to get a second opinion on the engine. Best of luck!
