I have long secretly wanted that to happen, the closest I might get to it is that old live version of money for nothing that he did a while back. I am totally with you on that, if it could be something like this would just be an incredible moment. Much prefered over clapton no offence to any fans of his.

Gilmore and Clapton are almost retired, Gary Moore Prince and now EVH are gone, Slash has nothing new to say,, The crown rightly goes to the wonderful John Mayer,, guitar for the guitars sake alone is not enough,, you have to paint a worthy backdrop to present it,, in other words write a great song first! any doubters check out this solo,,, one of the best I have heard for years,, super tasty, superb!!!

That sustain is amazing. Yet, there is only a low gain drive. How does he do it?
@seanraidley26436 жыл бұрын
I bet that PRS helps. Plus...he’s John. 🤷🏻♂️
@eduardocarrizo93075 жыл бұрын
He is in the O2 arena man. He's got a couple of Dumble amps Six string slingers I think they are named like that. And they are cranked up dude! That's why the sustain is eternal. People will argue about what Im gonna say but after playing professionally for a few years you get to understand at some point that "world class" or legendary tone is impossible to reach at a low volume. But that's only my experience! Anyways Cheers brotha!
@tobias_dahlberg2 ай бұрын
@@eduardocarrizo9307 That sustain is what really stood out to me too. Really crisp and quite clean tone but with insane sustain. Would love to get that through my little amp at home but I'm guessing that's not happening! ;)
