How, exactly? Dot Pyxis is an old drunk who almost slurs his words from his decades of drinking and makes unwanted advances at women. Patrick Stewart just wouldn't play a role like that, and I don't think he would play it very well if he did. He'd do it differently, strictly as a man "past his prime, living in the old ways," when maybe that's how it was at the end, arguably, but more than anything, while he was certainly old, there were no "old ways" to be stuck in. He spent almost his whole life in ignorance and only at the very end did he learn about the world. There isn't even enough time to realize you're even "stuck" or even "be stuck" because you're already there. It's like being mad at a rock for not turning to sand. And that's not what made Dot "legendary" as you say. It was his aged character's behavior during the reign of the titans. It was a mature perspective to counterbalance the youthful one we had seen thus far regarding their situation. Patrick Stewart would never play that role in that way, he'd just go "nope! Old, lewd drunk, he's just stuck in his ways and will never look forward. That's his character."

This fancast is decent since it takes into account the ages of the actors and their popularity. If everyone is an A list Hollywood star in the movie that would be way too expensive.

The woman of Mikasa picture is actually Suzu Hirose, a Japanese actress. I think whoever uploaded this video got confused with other actress. I think Lauren Tsai is a half Japanese and half American. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

I was thinking just yesterday about how P. Stewart could be perfect as Pixis, the other choices generally are very good, except M. Suvari, a little too old for Historia and for Annie's role perhaps you'll need someone a little more muscolar ( Soarse Rohan is an excellent actress nonetheless) Any suggestion for Hange Zoe's role? About the age lift It could be a sort of AU or similar

Wow! Lauren Tsai for Mikasa!! Lauren was born between Chinese father and White mother (as opposed to Mikasa who was born between white father and Asian mother) and Lauren is just gorgeous like most mixed people. Under the assumption that there will be a live-action of Attack On Titan, if Lauren is casted for Mikasa I think it would be just great 👍

This is really spot on! Perfect choices. AOT is one of these anime that could easily be remade in Hollywood because almost all of the cast is non-Asian so no one should scream about whitewashing. But I don't want to see it being remade. There is no way a movie, even 2,5h long, even if made as a trilogy, can be as good, as complex, as heartbreaking and epic as a series. Hope Hollywood won't do it.

2:20 When I think about actors/actresses for certain roles there are things to consider. Me personally I first try to look for someone that LOOKS THE PART, then I imagine then 10/15 years younger than what they are now, just to see if I still feel the same about my choice. Sometimes I go as far as looking for one that is retired/deceased in an what if scenario. I pretty much have a person for each character of this AMAZING anime series with the exception of 3…but I am not going to mention all of them but would gladly give a few examples: I disagree completely on Ana de Armas for this role simply because that character needs someone with more RANGE, someone that has a comedic background even. Not saying that Ana is not a good actress, she’s just not the right fit for this role…that should’ve given to someone like Allston Brie in my opinion. “Oh but she’s 40 now” that’s why I say to think of someone and imaginen them much younger(Ana de armas is 35 by the way, not that young either)The way I see it is that the character of Sasha deserves someone that could display different emotions at random, feel comfortable at improvising lines and to be able to deliver the punch line(not someone that is just gonna look good on camera)by the way, Michael Fassbender was my choice as well for that role…and I gotta admit I haven’t finished the video for how dissatisfied I felt…so much that at the 2:20 mark I had to stop and explain myself, but I guess I can continue watching now 🙃
