Landlocked her in Indiana, I finally got smart and started watching BEEFS at night on my TV after everyone goes to bed. I used to watch in my phone, often while pooping. It’s much more relaxing to watch at night before bed. 🤙🏄‍♂️

A few months ago, I was just hanging out in the late afternoon and saw a guy get rolled inside a large wave in the most picturesque way. No one was really in the water with the sun shining right through wave. It was almost ephemeral how the guy was spread eagle flipping through the wave as the sun gave him an aura like he was an angel about to fall hard to earth.

This is where we learned to body surf in the 60's. Sandy & Pounders is best place to learn. And the great thing about Sandy is after, walk to parking lot & get a plate lunch.

I mean, I spent many an hour there in the late 1970s/early 1980s. It could get crowded, for sure, especially when it was between 3 and 5 feet. Less than 3 feet, not really. Bigger than 5 and the beach would get cleaned out. And then Jack the Ripper would rule. LOL

@@BEEFSTV I grew up about a 10 minute walk from Sandy. We lived between Sandy Beach and another spot called Hukilau Beach. It was the best, being in high school, we would all jump in my yellow, 1967 VW bus and do the drive. Checking out all the spots. In fact Sandy was the first spot we'd check, then head to Sunset beach, Pipe, Waimea all the way to Haleiwa in search of that perfect wave! This video brought back SO MANY memories, thank you for posting it! I'll be there for Thanksgiving, leaving on Sunday, hopefully it won't be crowded! Aloha

We remember it too. Back in 74, our 1 yr old had his arm swimmies, his Dad holding him and both on the boogie board! So fun for us in the water. Oh, Sandy Beach water placed sand in our suits like crazy. Named well!

Been to E-Bay b4 but never whomped. Used to go to Crescent some. Main spot was Creek inside gravels for most whomping. Sandy's & Makapuu back in the day 2.

Back in the 70's I used my frisbee like you guys use handboards to bodysurf. I made a small leash for it that was easy to remove, so I could still throw it. Funny thing is, it would whistle faily loud when thrown from the hole for the leash ! I still have the frisbee hanging on my wall in my garage ! Still throw it once in a while !

I have a nice little set of scars on my shin from getting shorebreak barreled right onto some rocks and coral. One moment of glory, then smoked, then bloody. The worst part is nobody came over and said "scrub it, kook!"

I was out with my lady at Waterman's on Thurs night & I ordered a Burger & the waitress ask how I liked it cook. So I looked at my girl & smirked & she said don't & then I yelled "Rawwwwwwwww Beeeeeeeefs". She is socially awkward & hates attention. She knows I yell it at home when I watch the channels and the intro starts. I didn't get any action that night.🤷

I grew up in hk. Was living in kalama valley in the early 70's. I learned to swim in these waters as a grom..The old life guards use to keep an eye on me so I would drowned..lol Fished me out a few times as I drifted outside gas chambers on my way to the blowhole. One stands out in my memory. R.I.P. Royal ❤️🕊️🙏
