Attraction is arguably one of the greatest elements of unconscious human behavior, even amongst the most conscious people. It is like a two-sided coin. On one side, it can be a feeling state of the highest blissful excitement. On the other it can induce a feeling state of the lowest desperate suffering.

I can't believe the sensation of butterflies is a stress as I had this fluttering feeling as I was breastfeeding my child. The mist heavenly feeling. My last relationship/situationship really seemed to heighten after our first hug. My heart had this wonderful "heart-swelling" feeling that lasted well into the next day. The statement that Teal makes about finding the right person and it feeling like you’re coming home is exactly how I felt the first time my husband hugged me. Those are the exact words I would’ve chosen. And he was the perfect partner for me in every way. Unfortunately, because of past abuse I wasn’t able to believe that I could deserve to be happy and I basically threw it all away. I think this is a very profound video and I so wish that someone would’ve taught me this when I was young. This should be taught in schools. Thank you, Teal! Bless you. 💕

I wish too, I sabotaged my 9 years relationship coz I took him for granted and didn't know my abandonment and trauma problems within me from my past. I hope he is getting love he deserves. I didn't know what's wrong with my emotional and mental state and just last year after someone else dumped me I started getting to the bottom of my problems. I wanted to commit suicide. I didn't want to live with so much shame and guilt and I'm 46. I got massively heartbroken again which affected my overal health. I never thought it's possible but it is and I'm gratefull for people like Teal who simply explains where we screwed up and to make a better choices in the future😁
@whitebirchtarot
@whitebirchtarot Жыл бұрын
@@andziagreen4922 Wow, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I don’t think anything is worse than hurting the person you love the most and not realizing it until it’s too late to do anything about it. I think we need to give ourselves some credit though for having survived the trauma in the first place and then being willing to do something about it. I wanted to end my life after my husband died, but I have an older sister that needs my help and I would never do that to her. I’m trying to learn to be kind to myself, but it’s difficult. But we need to! That’s so sweet of you to be glad that your loved one will find the love he deserves. I find myself wishing that about my late husband. I wish that he could’ve found a woman earlier in life who would’ve loved him and given him the children he wanted, but as my sister always reminds me, he wouldn’t have wanted that. He would’ve chosen me. I know that’s true, but it still hurts like the devil. Why is it always so much easier to forgive others than to forgive ourselves? Thanks for sharing. Even though I’m sorry for your situation it kind of makes me feel a little better than I’m not the only person who’s done this. And you and I can’t be the only ones! I keep telling myself I didn’t do it on purpose. Of course I didn’t. And you didn’t either. Adults sure don’t understand how much they can mess up children, can they? I hope you find the healing you deserve and I also hope that happiness lies in your future. And mine! I think we deserve it, too. Thanks again so much for sharing. Take care of your special self! 💕🙏🦋

I believe that the main reason people cheat is from living a lie, living more who they should be because of being taught to sacrifice what they really want in life in general, the life that makes them feel alive, for the one that they should live. As Teal said, we follow attraction because it's the one thing left that gets through the drudgery of living and reminds us what feeling good feels like. Note to all, no matter what you "must" do, create a life around it that you love. And want the same for anyone you care about.

I’m open to the very likely possibility of this not turning into a relationship and I’m ok with that, I just want to get to have at least a few amazing experiences with him so that it doesn’t feel too short lived. As a child I was attracted to tall people, I eventually became taller than over 90% of the Dutch population (one of the countries with highest average of tall people). After that I became attract to people who were around the same height, but with more muscle, I eventually build more muscle even though I didn't change any lifestyle habit in order to make this happening. The universe is desperately trying to tell me that I am what I need. I am that strong man who can make myself feel safe, secure and protected. I also have huge feminine energy: I am an emotion/intuition oriented person, I am gentle-hearted, I like to care, feed, heal others. I just need to own my role as the gentle giant in order to find harmony within myself. I am basically Hagrid in human form, and the Hulk who needs to accept his emotions in order to become whole again 💝

This video came at a perfect time, as I was just thinking about my history with romantic relationships, the lessons I've learned and if or when I embark on another relationship, would I revert to my past patterns? I realized listening to this that as an empath I intuitively have great love for people I connect with and I see the good in them. I also realized having grown up in an abusive family I really never understood what love felt like, so I easily confused my innate love of others with being in love. I also realized that the reason all of my relationships have been with narcissists were because 1.) they reflected to me that lost yearning for love that lived deep inside of me and was denied, 2.) my innate love for others activated that part of them so while they fed off of my love energy, they were able to reflect a semblance of love energy back to me allowing me to 3.) project the fairy tale fantasy of my inner desires onto the relationship. For me, this video is deeply powerful and I'm grateful for your message Teal. I always learn so much from you. I'm still processing all I learned from this video about myself and what it means to me but I wanted to share with you the immediate insights you brought into my awareness at a perfect time. Thank you and much love!

Integration does mean something. Too many people fall for this flowery language. Psychoeducation( e.g. family systems and attachment theory), emotional grieving and mindfulness will give you more than this video.

This is amazing. It helps me get over my crush a little. She has everything that I ever wanted in my live. So I thought she was the perfect woman for me. Turns out the things I see in her are the things I lack in my self. Even though we never got into a relationship, I changed so many things about myself and made major life decisions (for the better), because I felt like a failure next to her. I do wonder if I should tell her this someday. Maybe it'll help her someday knowing that she's a role model for someone. And of course i'm secretly hoping she likes me too and we do get in a relationship. :) But I highly doubt that since she's not showing any signs of attraction towards me.

That’s the beauty of being in love! It makes you become a better self, it gives you wings to fly. The problem is that most often you come crushing down to reality! The crushes are sometimes reciprocated! I think you should have told her asap! You might be surprised! I wouldn’t be surprised if she likes you too! Women can be misleading that way! I am so happy you described how it is supposed to feel like. I thought I wanted that excited feeling during this lifetime. I found that it feels right when you have this sea of instant calm. Like looking upon a completely still body of water. And time stops just for a little bit. And the whole world falls away in these deep intimate moments. I came to the conclusion this last year actually, that the electric feeling is probably some kind of sign of incompatibility. I like the idea also being shown with someone I respect and view as knowledgeable and balanced, and well versed in wisdom and experience.

You're the only person on this planet that makes me feel all my life decisions are wrong. I watch your videos and keep questioning my own miserable existence and I can't help but notice that everything you say is very deeply built within myself, I just haven't had the words to express it on my own. This shows that we are so much more than flesh and bone, and even our own soul...because there is a lot of versions of ourselves that we are unaware of...the way our own mother perceives us, the way our best friend sees us, or even our own partner/spouse sees us...it's not that simple...it's easy to lose ourselves just by interacting with other people. Only when we are foced to look deep within our soul is exactly what we are supposed to find and expect from life...it's just not that obvious within our own mortal coil, and some of us, unfortunately, only find the sense of it through death. Life is a journey...we must be careful not to ruin it with our own expectations, or expectations of others. Sorry for bad english...not my native language. What you will learn from this video: "You have a lot very complex problems that spring forth as "Attractions"!! " , I think it's important for everyone to still understand that you are human and don't need to be perfect before you can Love or look for a partner, but what you can recognize and heal (which is what Teal teaches), can drastically broaden what you enjoy from life and what is is you really want from a life partner and ultimately , how happy you are with yours. All her teachings so far have gotten me to that conclusion and the work is very detailed and yet explained in such a way, it makes it easy to apply when you resist the urge to argue with whether it's a part that has drifted away or not. PS, Good choice of the red for the video :)

This video helped me get more of the full picture of what I've struggled with. In high school I was awkward and lonely. I felt I wasn't normal cause "everybody" was having relationships but me. Now, a few relationships later, I'm always still searching because they haven't really met my needs. I think what I'm looking for is a "normal" woman to validate that I am normal too. However, I am with a fairly average woman right now, but we don't have much in common. It is always the attraction that becomes love, then love becomes friendship and partnership,,,then attraction again with another soul, (long or short term )or you rediscover the attraction once felt with your initial partner and love again comes along. It is a circle that many of us experience, have experienced and will experienced. At 17:28, this is something where attraction has an advantage over good sense. 22:59 We will always give the attraction more time and forgive more because of image, you may become a slave to attraction, an addict.

Less than a minute in and I’m already saying “YES!”. I’ve tried explaining to people that there are different types of “love” but I like the attraction-appreciation-love distinction.
