Hey
I'm always asked what or how I keep my ATV looking so new, along with regular maintenance I always hand wash and shine the plastics. I grew up using SC1 "New Bike in a Can" but was recently turned onto a newer product I really like also. Let me know what you use.

I’ve been using SC-1 for several years on my grizzly that has painted plastics. It keeps my bike looking brand new. I use it on the black plastics on my vehicles to. Rather than spraying it onto the vehicle, it goes much further spraying a small amount on a micro fiber rag and rubbing it on. It lasts a long time and has a waxed look and feel to the finish. And it smells great like fruit.

One of your your best and cheapest ways to shine your bike is simple. Lemon pledge furniture Polish. Pick it up at the dollar store

Great comparison! I also like to clean the bike after rides. I used back to black for a while, great on textured plastics, especially. Thanks for another great vid. 👍

Emzone Ultimate shine. Spray on, wipe off. Half the price as SC 1. It’s not a silicone based spray but it definitely leaves the bike looking new. Simonize tire foam from CT is my second choice. Sc1 is just way too expensive when you’re cleaning your bike every weekend after a run.

man I agree with ya, it's simply too expensive now, I can't be buying that. I have the tire foam in my shed, I will give it a try.

They both look very good, the SC1 is very expensive, you take very good care of your ATV, looks great, I buy the packs of tire shine foam from Costco, I am not sure if works as good, but as long as you are keeping the bike clean and stored inside they will last. I will check that Magic dressing out.

I use SC-1, if i buy it at the cycle shop it’s $15 here in Idaho. It’s much cheaper online I hear, so I will go that route next time. Ive heard of some guys using Pam cooking spray on their under carriage to make mud cleanup easier, but I haven’t tried it myself.

Hey ! ok so SC1 isn't really cheap. down there either... I thought it would be around $10. PAM? I never heard of that, I'd be too scared the smell would attract bears when I was camping haha or maybe my dog licking it all off the frame LOL I know some guys use WD40 to help with that but I don't like to do that personally b/c when you drive through water and stuff, it washes off and gets into the streams/rivers and stuff. just my personal opinion though. Nice they both seem work i myself use the SC1 order 8 cans a time from Royal Distributors its about $ 14.00 per can

Ohhhhh that's a good idea ! save a few bucks when ordering in bulk.... I should start a business and sell cans for $16/can and make two bucks off every can lol

I just use tire shine but I'm not concerned about good looks, running thru the bush will do that LOL! I end up having to wipe the shine down a bit as the squirt bottle doesn't do a great job like the aerosol. Great vid Man! Nice bike too!

Hey buddy very informative video. Your bike always looks good. I always forget to put stuff on after i wash it lol. My manual says to use furniture polish. It works pretty good. All that jerky made me hungry lol. Looking forward to some camping videos with you and Wendell. Be safe out there and cheers 🍻

Thanks for sharing, my wife and I love your videos, after we washed the bikes we use tire foam spray then wipe it down and also enjoy the shine, lol. And yes we don't do the seat 😊.

I apply a coat of SC1 under my fenders before a ride and don't wipe it off. When I get home, the dirt slides off easier. I agree the price has gone up way too much so I won't be doing that as often.

I've been using Motul's Shine and Go and it's priced about the same as the SC1. It's about $12-$15 here in the states. Used to be like $11 a can. I love how it makes them look brand new again but i hate how it makes the dust cling to it. It does help make the next wash easier however. Thanks for the review James!

Little tougher to get that out of the states I bet. Amazon has the SC1 for $51.79 for a 4 pack-48oz that includes free shipping tax is $3.84. That is $1.0789 per oz. Thanks for the video brother looking forward to another ride and camp video!

Silicone based products dry out and leave a white dead silicate. I’d go for some non silicone for the long run

Hey James, give tire foam a try sometime. I used the cheapest tire black foam I could find and wow, looks good. I clean my bikes after each ride with a basic hose off. I only clean to that level at the end of the season before I store it. I do like it when they look clean, but only lasts as long at they stay in my garage, which is not long. Tire foam makes all your black plastics look better than new. I know you mention it in your video, but not sure you have tried it.

Nicely done big guy. Hope you get out soon. I started using SC1 just last year on my 2021 Grizzly SE. About a month ago I found a 12 pack on Amazon for $154.97 before tax. $12.91 a can. Snapped it up as that was 9% off of retail. I’m in Fredericton so 🇨🇦 price. Thanks again for your time. Your quad looks almost brand new.

I don’t experience the popping sound a lot of guys complain about but would like a little more bottom end . I was thinking tuner and exhaust but I really don’t want anything louder then stick so just thought I’d ask since I believe you have just the tuner thanks buddy and stay safe out there

Thanks for the video, always wanted to see a comparison. Like another stated below, here in the states if you buy a multi pack it's closer to $10 a can for SC1, plus it smells great. I'd like to give that product a try and will look for it. I like to spray under my wheel wells and I always seem to use up a lot of product there. Looking forward to the next vid.

Could put that stuff in one of those pump sprayers from princess auto too! I don't think the aerosol application would be worth the extra cost so I'm gonna grab a jug next time I'm up in Moncton.

You shouldn't put anything silicone or petroleum-based on your tires. It is horrible for rubber. It will shine them very well but it draws out the oils and dries the tires out prematurely.
