Enable Gauge Test/Needle Sweep
[17 - Instruments] [Coding - 07] - Long Coding Helper - Byte 1
Bit 0 - Check the box for "Gauge Test/Needle Sweep active"
2.
Enable Hidden menu in MMI
[5F - Information Electr.]
[Adaptation - 10] - Channel 6
change 0 to 1
Use this hidden menu at your own risk.
Caution: Keep away from the "Bootloader", if it appears as an option
To access the hidden menu, hold down car and setup together for 5 seconds
3.
Enable VIM on MMI
[5F - Information Electr.] [Advanced ID - 1A] Note 1st Serial number
[Security Access] Enter Digits 6, 13, 10, 14, 11 of the 1st Serial number
[Adaptation - 10] - Channel 48
Set to 255
Reset MMI
4.
Enable Remote Operation Windows and Sunroof
[46 - Cent. Conv.] [Coding - 07] - [Long Coding Helper] Byte 2
Bit 2 - Set to 1

for your safety, no picture is displayed while driving , how to fix this ? video only appears when the car is not moving.

@@BOSS836 on MMI 3G Basic, I managed to play mp4 with resolution: 720 x 480, only from CD. (not working from SD CARD)

I saw on the websites the codes can be programmed but im sure not all models are compatiable

Only works with the B8.5 models with the max trim package containing the MMI 3G with navigation. You would go into the hidden green screen and enable it there

The cable on the dashboard is the original Audi AMI MMI iPod cable found in the glovebox

As long as you have the MMI 3g you should be fine

I’m trying to upgrade my A4 B8 concert to MMI 3G+. Is it possible to go to the junk yard and get the parts from another car and add it on mine? I have a VAGCOM cable.

Hello Friend, im from Medellin Colombia. im glad to see your videos and require your support, i'd just purchase a Q5 2014 2.0TDI second hand, the media system have this information, RADIO No: 8R1035195H SCREEN No: 8T0919603G HW: H04 SW: 0461 in this car i have only bluetooth for phone calls but not for streaming have no videos, Even NO GPS, would be Great if you can confirm me if is possible to enable this options. i had check some forums but didn't found a solution. thanks a lot. You probably have MMI 2G or MMI 3G without navigation, which neither of them support bluetooth music streaming audio. (Only supported on the B8.5 models like my 2014 Q5 MMI 3G high fully loaded) What I always have suggested to people is, to open up their glovebox & locate the old school ipod 30 pin charger & buy a relatively cheap & easy bluetooth streaming adapter like these. @@MotorHeadTech !!!haaaggg¡¡¡ ok in this case ill buy the Bovee, and ill order the cable VAGcom + CAN to activate some options that AUDI deactivates in their cars sold in Colombia, example the side mirrors folding. thanks a lot, great video, great channel

Holy cow! We have the same Audi. Can the wizard who made this video please give me direction. My MMI stops intermittently. It has performed this way since 2018, around four years after purchase. I can not access "Setup MMI" to find the version number and same with "Time". That's after entering the "Menu" screen. I've performed a factory reset. Does any of this make sense to either of you in this thread? Thank you in advance.
