Audio Building Blocks Explained, Episode 2: Operational Amplifiers, or OpAmps

At the QSO Today Ham Radio Expo www.qsotodayha... I gave a presentation about audio building blocks, and how to use them to make projects for Amateur Radio. But I only had 30 minutes, which is barely enough to cover what the blocks are and what they do, and not enough time to cover any detail, how to build them, how to put them together in an actual circuit, etc.
This video series will go into that detail. Today we will cover Operational Amplifiers (or OpAmps), a few common configurations, and how we can use them to do different things.

Thanks! You are filling in my missing education. I've wanted to know how to use OpAmps since I was a kid (too many yrs ago). Thanks also for participating in Ham Radio Workbench and Eric's QSO Today Ham Expo.I Best, WA4KBT

Bill-N6EF-What op-amp(s) did you use in the final design?

It doesn't matter a whole lot. We're not doing studio quality or audiophile quality here, so any op-amp will do. In this case, I think I used a cheap TL072 I bought in bulk off eBay, just to have on-hand for impromptu projects like this. But really, any opamp will do fine in this use case.
