Beautiful! I've never heard an AN amp, but I've really wanted a pair of their speaker for years. Maybe one day. Though I'm a bit surprised to see what look like non-AN resistors (AN resistors available to the public are usually tan or, less commonly, white or brown) I guess since resistors usually have less coloration than caps, they stuck with AN caps only to keep the price below their no-holds-barred equipment. Nice presentation...................just to explain the much missunderstanding about amplifier classes for most of the audiophiles who do not fully understand amplifiers . Class AB is ...............part bias current in Class A ...........but then it is said toswitch into class AB.........in reality class AB is the NAME of a operation mode and the ampligier does not switch from class A into class AB................but it switches from class A into class B ! In most transistor amplifier ( class AB ) the bias current is minimal and only to prevent crossover distortion , in fact these amplifiers work almost in class B.... Class A amplifiers ( commerial ) are in reality mostly class AB amplifiers with higher bias current up to 50 % of reel class A amplifiers .......genuine class A amplifiers are very rare and pure Class A is usualy found in tube amplifiers .. ( who resist to the very high temperature there where transistors will often end up dying ) Single ended amplifiers ( solid state as well as valve technology ) will ONLY work in pure class A. Good class AB amplifier may outperform less well designed class A amplifiers ... BUT when no compromises are made the crown of the king of amplifiers is still pure class A tube technology . No company ( exeptions besides some rare brands ) will build without some restrictions on a commercial base ....if they didn't make those compromises their amplifiers could not withstand the concurency of the other brands . Another less known working class is Class AB2 and or class A2.........this means that the amplifier is driven positive on the grid ............Where grid current will be the culprit .........such amplifiers need special attention and adequate drivers as well as very current capable drivers ..........some tubes are designed to work in Class A2 / AB2 such as the 211/VT4c and the 811A etc..........these were designed for very high voltages and transmitter amplifiers ..........they can develop huge power beyond the usual class 1 amplification mode . ECL 82 is still produced in the Russian federation...........nos becomes rare ..... If you have high sensitivity speakers they are quite astonishing musical performers. Thank you for your upload .

Does the I zero sound like a tube amp? If so, is it more EL34, KT88 or 300B?

This amp already looks cheaply built. Manufacturing costs about 300 € altogether. No good!
