No sir I am not…I had the first go faulty and I asked to have it replaced and was promptly sent a new one. The new one quickly began sucking batteries. About every three weeks. May I steer you to the “new” check out level.co

@@LionHead1982 This is what I’ve been reading. Thanks for being honest. I will wait for the Schlage one in the spring it’s going to support thread. I wanted the keypad for my wife who doesn’t use Apple or her phone to unlock the door.

The battery is an issue, with fresh one in place it is very consistent, you're in trouble if you let them die though. If I could request anything from August it would be the ability to hard wire the keypad in somehow.

Lion Head thanks for the reply! how long does it usually last? im using the smart lock for our airbnb and the keypad, i think, will help a lot but im afraid it might flip on guests. Thats why im having second thoughts. Good thing i saw your vid cause not may put out a keypad review

Costa Apostolou I'm at just around 2 months with daily weekly usage by my daughter. One issue I have is that there has been some inconsistency concerning when the app will actually make me aware of a low battery. Also I'm in the Midwest which caused issues with my double sided tape (freezing temperatures). Just recently I screwed it in to make a more permanent install.

Ty I'm going to give the product a try. I am under the assumption August wants us to use the adhesive strip plus screws so its a sturdy install.

Lion Head I love the setup when it works but latley the keypad will flash red when trying to lock/unlock and takes 8-10 seconds to react and most of the time its fast but it drives me nuts when it doesn't work fast.

The flashing light is a warning that the batteries is almost dead.

Floyd Holt so far so good, the only nuisance is occasionally changing the batteries. Like any device with batteries changing them becomes a chore even if it’s only about 3 times a year.

I had mines for a few months now. I changed the batteries from the start to some better batteries and haven't changed the batteries yet. But I don't use it daily due to the auto lock feature. The keypad might be used once a week due to people inability to download the August app.

Well my batteries just died after 3 months of being used once a day, lol.
