Yeah they certainly compete. I haven't seen a fox sniffing around a dog or vis versa in the flesh.

This time last year I trapped and shot 3x dogs. 2 were pups well advanced close to going there own way. Great info your giving, I'm going to acquire a Pard 008. About the limit of a farmers budget.

Bloody expensive toys unfortunately. They do give an edge though on the dogs and foxes. Pretty cool when they can't see you lining them up in full darkness

They are hybrids Jim. Australian dingos interbred with domestic animals (escaped, dumped or lost dogs). I'm talking over generations and generations they have been wild like this. Unfortunately the interbreeding changes the dingo behaviours and they are such a huge issue as a result. Hence we call them wild or feral dogs.

EDGE of the OUTBACK Huh, that's really interesting. I'd love to see a few videos with much more success then. Here in Canada there is a problem with coyotes, and in the east, we have a new issue, which is coyotes interbreeding with wolves. The result isn't so good.

We 100% can own firearms with a license. It's a huge misconception although we do have restrictions on things like semi autos and suppressors which is stupid. Still we have some of the most amazing hunting opportunities on the globe as most species here are "feral" and introduced pests. Open slather !!! No game tags etc on introduced pest species for the main. I shoot in bulk year round.

@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK so I have a couple of ruger 10-22's, on of which is 22 magnum, a. 22 pistol, a Remington 30-06, an old 300 savage, and a calico m900 9mm carbine. There must be restrictions on most of what I've just described, as the magazines for the 22's start at 10 rounds up to the 25 count, and the 9mm, well it has 2 50 round and 2 100 round magazine's. How much trouble is it for an American to travel to Australia with their firearms?

I'm not exactly sure TBH. Possible but you'd probably have to jump through some hoops.

@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I imagine so. A bucket list goal has always been to catch a marlin on the barrier reef, see some koalas and see cooper peedy opal mines, and the place where the man from snowy river was filmed supposedly.

Can thoroughly recommend the Aussie Alps or the Victorian High Country. Amazing area (around where the man from snowy river was filmed). I've hunted Sambar Deer a few times in the Alpine National Park. Just stunning but very rugged country.
