G'Day Viewers!
Join me as I spend a beautiful weekend exploring a new lake. The weather plays havoc with me and I get stuck in the middle of a crazy summer storm but then treated with an epic sunset! Oh, and I finally land my first fish!!
Hope you all enjoy it.
Hooroo!

Hi Scott I work for the Country Fire Authority in Victoria and I really like how you are showing people good fire responsibility in the bush. You even go so far as to make the place look like you were never there. Great to see people looking after the bush.

Dude. Ur u. Don’t change how u act or are for anyone. We’re here for a reason. N that’s the great country u get to show us. For which I’m really thankful. U shouldn’t be ashamed at all about mannerisms. Takes all sorts in life mate. That includes people that say um. Where I’m from in Bristol England. It’s not uncommon for people to say like a lot. For example.... “u know what I mean, like?” It’s totally a local thing. Also for some strange reason we say snow pitches. As I understand we’re the only people that refer to fallen snow that way. I digress. Just keep being u 👍🏻

I really get annoyed when fools criticize someones grammar or regional dialect when they provide great outdoor videos that people look for. I'm from Newfoundland and Labrador Canada and we have about 15-20 different dialects for a population of 500 thousand people. We are proud of our heritage and language and pay no attention to what other people would term "proper" language. Do not change anything you would normally say being from New South Wales. These people who criticize are not worth the subscription to your channel. p.s I just subscribed and really love the content. All the best.

Had a similar experience when i was a kid, i was camping with brother and dad when during middle of night heard footsteps pacing around tent, it woke my brother aswell and he yelled out and it stopped, we were both shitscared at that point, he climbed out of the tent expecting a tomahawk to the head and there were 2 kangaroos staring at kim, dad still laughs to this day but hands down most scared ive ever been! Great vid mate!

Hi Scotty, just stumbled upon your channel while researching wood gasified camping stoves. No worries about the umms and yeahs, takes time to get comfortable in front of a camera and especially listening to your own voice. Here in Canada we say “eh” a lot at the end of sentences, just part of our way of speaking, just like in Australia you say “mate” at the end of some of your sentences. We are all different in some ways but in the end just human beings!Your scenery is amazing in Australia, nothing like Canada at all, it looks so warm there!Great job with the filming and storytelling, enjoy your Summer as we are in our Winter up here in the Northern Hemisphere!😎🌨

Ode to the plum - indeed, antioxidant loaded tasty morsel. Why the focus on your speaking? Suddenly got self conscious? Don't worry, many of us admire what you do, where you go and how you present it all. The knowledge you impart is wonderful too Scotty. The dropped branches near where you pitched the tent shows those branches that will drop have...always a worry though. You can get water running down the hammock chords and wetting the hammock at the ends. If you tie a piece of rope on the chords so it dangles down and redirects water away from the hammock. The barbs behind the head on the flatty will hurt and they know how to use them...be careful. Absolutely stunning location, I'll say it again, your framing of the shots is magnificent - you are a natural. Thanks for picking up the rubbish, every bit helps.

Good idea bringing the canoe up under the tarp - you wouldn't want to wake up and the canoe be halfway out in the lake.
