Oh for sure demuslim was a bit whiny but he was right the whole time tbh, demuslim loaded in saw he was China and probably instantly knew he lost the game, China has been teamed up on and annihilated in almost every game

And on top of that, he used the most cheese rush on bee right at the start (which is legal btw) anyway he shouldnt offend other players because of it, he could have complained after in a professional, composed maner

I'm glad I'm seeing this, thought it was incredibly unsportsmanlike to be so hypocritical and avely took demu out by himself, it was ironic to see demu getting mad about others NOT being on his team, rather than anyone teaming up. Crackedy got teamed up hard but that's the game and he showed his true colors by being a good sport. I mean seriously, that barbican rush was outright cruel so I'm not surprised others took him as a threat. Maybe he should reflect on trying to be peaceful with bee... Just so cringe lol

Played a few nomad megarandom pubs and got teamed on and it turned me off from playing AOE again, prolly won’t touch the game again for months. It was definitely super cringe and lost a lot of respect, thought he was calm and cool but really just an angry boi when he loses. As for the china spawn, I feel like a player with a smaller ego would have been fine being a puppet and perhaps had stayed in longer, even Simtom was trying to let crackedy live at the end (even if for snipe) and crackedy was fine with it. Demu didn't even ask anyone if he could cockroach over there and reboom. Sure, as china you can't stick to yourself and sim city your way into a wonder victory with 100 grenadiers and 100 palace guard. That doesn't mean it's unfair. This entire game mode is about politics and demu played very poorly by cheesing Bee and then getting attacked pretty succinctly. Crackedy managed to hold on and use china's cockroaching to provide entertainment and he wasn't salty... Even in a genuine 3v1 he just kept fighting, talking smack, trying to make deals... And it was awesome. So, no china spawn not broken but strategy needs to change, even if egos need to be checked.

Maybe I was too harsh, but also there’s the fact that he was only being 1v1 at the time. Sure maybe other people could/should have been fighting more but he didn’t get 3v1 like others 🤷🏻 Also everyone here seems to be « pro » players, used to the spotlight, and also seem to be in a very chill / fun vibe! I just felt like he really wasn’t the guy I see on his stream. I get the frustration but I felt like he was really close to insulting the guys for real

I think Core ended up doing that a while back when he tried the island wonder. Wonder got sniped but he rebuilt a huge cavalry force, helped puppypaw eliminate other players and gg'd to him and took second place.

In a format where you get rewarded for placement, winning isn't the most important thing. Heck, if you take out enough players you can get more points than first place while finishing second.

This. I don't think teenagers understand how a grown adult losing his patience actually reflects on their character. It wasnt funny, it wasn't insightful, and it wasn't justified. Demu rushed a player into a negative score and then was met with a 1v1 that he lost. No teaming up or anything else. So cringe when adults act like children.

It's professionals that are not only representatives of a product tied to a corporate entity, but are seen as "community leaders" when it comes to professional gaming. There's a reason players get suspended in other institutions when they violate codes of conduct. Why should people that make their living from competitive gaming be any different? Incidents like this that are treated as "watch gamer get mad lolz" are some of the reasons so many people within the community think it's acceptable behavior socially.

teaming up is a important part of FFA. its not logical that you would just not do it at all and frankly it would happen by itself a lot of times. like even without communication two players could randomly end up attacking the same third player.

@@zaganim3813 teaming up mid game is no problem. but having arrangements in advance would be a big issue imo. afaik there's no way to track if players already set up plans in advance before a game, so having the names not show up to other plays would be good.

There's no way to efficiently stop it, unless you force people to attack their immediate neighbors which takes out the fun and diplomacy from the game

Agreed. Not usually one to take issue with language but that was unsportsmanlike and hypocritical. He rushed someone and complained when he got taken out fairly by only 1 player. The fact that he was mad about "teaming up" showed his immaturity when he was mad because Matiz wouldn't attack Avely (i.e. not joining demu team). So he himself was trying to team rather than fight a 1v1. Also perhaps the strategy for a Chinese spawn needs to be a puppet, otherwise a stronger castle age civ will crush you into oblivion, change your strategy before complaining about unfairness.

Indirectly teamed up I guess. The three amigos ain't attacking each other. But if Demuslim was in the same boat he would have done the same.

This is his third game and the only reason he did well in the second game was because he was on a team, teaming up on people, ask Dinkey. He was a really sore loser that is likely going to get insta targeted again in the next matches just because he's toxic

I find it a lot more interesting that 1v1s, other than tournament play. The maps, spawns, random civs, FFA, and real time politics of the matches make them unique every single time.

the randomness, politics and cut-throatness is what sets this mode apart
