@@VertFirstQuestion While he certainly has many "fans" that hate aoe4, I don't think he lets them stop him from playing it. From what I can tell it's just that while he enjoys both aoe2 and 4, 2 is still the one he's most invested in and he doesn't want to be out-of-shape for the upcoming Wololo tournament. And even though he prefers aoe2, he did genuinely seem to enjoy aoe4 as well and rebuked viewers who told him to stop playing it. If it wasn't for the fact that he needs to really invest in one or the other to remain a champion, I'd expect him to still be playing both games. That said, I'm not actively following him, so if he's recently made new statements on the topic I'm not aware of them.

They should make somehting similar to a losers bracket, where the disconnected players still have a chance, sortof a wildcard matchup between the players who have lost significant points due to disconnection and where they have a chance to get back in it.

@@Alexander-zr1nj yea its a hard one, as how do you police it, eg someone gets a bad spawn and civ plays 30mins then pulls thier internet cable so they get into that wild card match

I don't think it's too bad. Without that, you'd need another victory condition because annihilation of landmarks isn't possible in a game with such slow movement speeds, infinite resources, fast training times and an overall strong defender's advantage.
