Is there a reason why the snare mic is touching straight down on the drumhead, or did you just hit it by accident, so it got there? Never seen a soundguy do that in my 30 years of drumming, but that doesn't mean there's is not a function for it.

Everyone gets sloppy when they get tired dud. What you can do is to improve your stamina and technique tho.

Each stroke would still be discernible, but the leading heel singles of each foot produce the most power and would therefore generate greater volume than the following toe singles. Edit : You can check out audio examples of triggerless acoustic heel-toe doubles on YT.
