Austin Frerick is a 7th generation Iowan who, after watching his home state be transformed through agricultural policy to the detriment of the family farmer, became an expert on agriculture and antitrust policy and now serves the Co-Chair of the Biden campaign’s Agriculture Antitrust Policy Committee. He is the author of Barons: Money, Power, and the Corruption of America's Food Industry.

We believe that the organic standards, with their focus on soil health, biodiversity, and animal welfare were written as they should be, but that the current lack of enforcement of those standards is jeopardizing the ability for small farms who adhere to the law to stay in business. The lack of enforcement is also jeopardizing the overall health of the customers who support the organic movement; customers who are not getting what they pay for at market but still paying a premium price. And the lack of enforcement is jeopardizing the very cycles (water, air, nutrients) that Earth relies upon to provide us all with a place to live, by pushing extractive, chemical agriculture to the forefront.

I just heard Eric Schlosser on bill maker's hbo show quote this book saying germany is the biggest exporter of coffee to the usa but I'm finding third party neutral websites say it is Colombia and brazil not Germany. Who is telling the truth here, you or them ?

We are in a unique position now - the age of information and communication - we have everything we need laid oit before us to become independent from these robber barons. A Decentralised financal system with massively reduce corruption & will earmark this transition to a completely different system that will make more sense. The market will rule.. not the supply which crony capitalism encourages.

What market will rule. Not the consumer. If there is no food (supply) the "market" will pay whatever it can to get it. That will lead to starvation among the poor. Capitalism is not a problem. Intentional supply reduction and monopolies of said supply are the problem. We see this coming. As for a Decentralized financial system. Won't happen. Wish it would! The FED won't let it happen. Its 1984 all over again. "And the whole world wondered after the beast." The Bible says it is the end and no one wants to hear that!
