Strongman Jason Gillespie from Brisbane, Australia travels to Potarch in Aberdeenshire to attempt to lift the world famous Dinnie Stones. Jason successfully lifted the stones on his second attempt, having lost grip on the iron rings on the first attempt. Guiding him was local strongman Brett Nicol, who has lifted the stones himself almost 300 times.
The Dinnie Stones are a pair of Scottish granite lifting stones , with iron rings affixed. They were made famous by strongman Donald Dinnie, who carried the stones barehanded across the width of the Potarch Bridge, a distance of 17 ft 1.5 in 1860. They remain in use as lifting stones and have a combined weight of 332.49 kilograms (733.0 lbs), with the larger stone weighing 188.02 kilograms (414.5 lbs) and the smaller stone weighing 144.47 kilograms (318.5 lbs).
