Spectacular preparation by Mr. Kentucky Derby Bob Baffert, been preaching this horse since after his Sham win. This horse reminds me a bit of Sunday Silence, very athletic, big thin light frame and can really run! Like Baffert said months back this horse runs like a gazalle!

I have PICKED Authentic after his second RACE.. He was green then all over the PLACE, but he's 8 lengths ahead of EVERYONE which could easily be 15lengts or MORE. RESPECT the SPEED & CONNECTIONS!

Great call...War Emblem surprised people because Baffert took over the horse after the Hawthorne Derby, I think most felt despite the figures the race was an insignificant prep.

That’s why we appreciate American Pharoah and justify’s triple crown wins off of 2 weeks and 3 weeks rest. Tiz the law has 7 weeks in between races. He isn’t used to 4 weeks in between races. Authentic was ready and Johnny V was waiting for Tiz at the top of the stretch. Fooled us all.

And further more all the crown winners ran there races in the same manner as Bob's crown time wise....justify crown is ranked next to the worst in the last 10..he would never exist if he had to face past greats. Average at best. American Pharoah was much better.

I own a small share of authentic, u can say he deserves his due. He beat the unbeatable tiz the law. Everyone said it couldnt be done. Well it was, yesterday authentic was a better horse. You got to remember if he didn't slam his head against the gate and side step outward of the gate in the Santa Anita derby your sitting on an undefeated horse. So please give him the respect he deserves. He's a champion 🏆 no one can take that away especially now. "Sounds good saying it "kentucky derby champion Authentic" also great name for a horse.

You have no proof of that (you must have bet tiz the law) you can say the same thing about him in the travers. Pretty sad you had to say that. He got beat by a better horse on Saturday thats what happened. Go back and watch all of authentic races the horse was super talented but was immature anyone who knows horse racing knew he was gonna be a horse to reckon with if he matured which he did. he kept focus and ran the race like a professional. So call it what you want I'm 100 percent sure he just flat out beat tiz the law. (The mistake they made was running him in the travers he looked tired but he gave it a good try He just got beat by a better horse that day. He wasn't doped he was just that good.

@@albertobattisti4731 , tremenda monta la de Johnny Velasquez sobre Authentic. Controlo todo el ritmo de la carrera. Esa carrera se decidió en el fraccional para los 1,200 metros 1.10 hizo correr duro a Tiz the Law. Que se veía flotando en toda esa recta final ( Tiz the Law no le gusta la pista de Churchill Downs ) Está carrera se parece mucho al caribe del 1992 entre Leonardo y Catire Bello.

I had this horse as a very dangerous speed and no pressure after I saw the Haskell running.Authentic is great horse and as good as Tiz The Law

Authentic running 3 to 4 wide was a strategy to let Tiz The Law run wider all through out the race to neutralize Tiz's advantage by making the favorite run wide and long. It paid off.

How does that make any sense? If Authentic was racing wide to make Tiz race wide where is the advantage? If Authentic was in the 1 path and Tiz in the second it is the same as the way they ran!

@@vambo13257 How much further did Tiz run because of being 6 wide running around the tract ? 6 more lengths? Outside horse travels further. Tiz travelled 23 feet longer than Authentic. Ever heard of trackus?

@John Coppers It was vital. Running 2 and 1/3 lengths( 23 feet longer) with the kind of tract on where he always lose was good enough with the tailing Tiz in this race and turn him back in the stretch. Authentic only won by less than that.

@John Coppers They knew then Tiz needed to run outside of Authentic. Between Bob and Velasquez "secret strategy" at the paddock. It paid off. I don't think Authentic will be able to do it again but if Tiz runs in the Preakness, it could happen again in The Breeders Cup maybe by another horse. Tiz needs the freshening. Thanks John, these exchanges added more knowledge about the business.

@John Coppers AC has that classic distance pedigree. Look closely at it. This was the horse I intended to bet on if Tiz and Authentic runs in the Preakness and they all meet in The Breeders that is if AC waits and skips the Preakness. He'll be facing 2 vulnerable favorites.

Authentic is still learning and he can be quirky especially in the stretch when he hears the crowd. There was no crowd noise for him to contend with and also Johnny was told by Bob to use the left hand stick. The rest is history. Congrats to all 👏

Absolutely correct johnny v kept him focused. It was over before it started once he got the lead johnny let him relax let him cruise and then when tiz the law challenged him authentic was up to the task and then some. Tiz was never cathing him on Saturday. Everyone just making excuses we all knew if authentic ever got it right he was gonna be a good one. Well he got it right, if he wins the Preakness which according to the so called experts is more suitable for him will everyone then acknowledge him as a good horse. Because in my mind if he beats tiz the law again he's absolutely this year's best three year old. Remember he bumped his head and swung outwards in the Santa Anita derby otherwise we are looking at an undeafted horse right now.

Authentic beat him. Tiz the Law is fine. Both are great horses, Authentic was just the better out of the two when it came to the classic distances.

Was concerned of him only having a 4 week layoff when he has had 7+ week ones for every single race in his career. Gotta think if he had similar layoff for this race would have had that much more left in the tank. Can't really blame Sackatoga though the Travers is their Derby and horse was working fine after it.

Ok Tiz Law was on a track where he is never won, ridden by a jockey that’s never had any triple crown win and was coming out of the stall 17 that’s the only stall not to have win a Kentucky Derby. When I texted every channel and said that Tiz the Law was the bookies best friend, I was not wrong.

Johnny Velasquez Made perfecto conduction over Authentic. Manny Franco Made great conduction to over Tiz the Law, but Authentic running more faster Tiz the Law.

It isn't. Let me educate you. Horses are born to run. These horses would not even be alive if not for horse racing. Try to follow along, I know you are a little slow. These horses are bred to run, they are not plucked out of some open range in Wyoming.

Pretty poor analysis of Tiz the Law. He ran a great race probably 2:01 or 2:02 real good time he probably didn’t switch leads properly. Anyway Authentic ran a very fast time period .

He actually ran under 2:01 he ran a faster time in the derby than he did in the Travers the commentators are just giving Tiz the law an excuse

Baffert was suspended for the use of lidocaine, which is NOT a juicer. It's a pain reliever, one that's actually permitted in training, and regulated depending of the state. "Charlatan’s test allegedly revealed 46 picograms of the metabolite of Lidocaine. Gamine’s test allegedly revealed 185 picograms of the metabolite of Lidocaine. A picogram is a trillionth of a gram. These are trace amounts that are scientifically insignificant. These miniscule amounts of the metabolite of Lidocaine in a thousand pound animal would have no effect on either horse. The trace amounts are also consistent with innocent exposure as opposed to intentional administration.

David Rosado what you mean he didn’t ride hard enough. Look at the replay! Franco over whips the horse like a donkey. 9 times in the last furlong and half and it caused the horse to go flat. He needed to ask the question and give him a bit of time to pick up as he had already made the ground on the turn. While Velazquez only hit his 6 times but in intervals. Franco lost that race through inexperienced of wining a big fight. I am not a jokey and I even know this things.

They will it will come back positive and you wont hear about it, the horse was clearly clearly juiced if you follow horse racing hardcore you no what a juiced horse looks like, Btw Baffert already had 2 positive test this year plus Justify had a bad test that got pushed under the rug Baffert is a criminal period.

Had the first quarter ran in about 23 seconds and the half in 45 seconds none of the horse would have beaten Tiz The Law, the first quarter and the half were too slow

Ny traffic still running, he is not in the same league as authentic or tiz the law. He's a nice horse but not a bonafide star
